I don't know about that. If I remember correctly you got around 7 votes, and the average was 8 I think. That category is a particularly skewed one in my view, as different people may have different opinions on what makes someone a good poster.

It has been while since I've posted something in here! I've been pretty inactive in this forum. Anyway, I've just reached level thirteen, which isn't amazing, though it is an achievement, so I felt that I should mention it here.

The relentless march of the portal had not been without its toll on the warrior. He stood there, the victim of his latest sweep now nothing more than a falling corpse, staining the blade of his new axe. He surveyed the wasteland that had gone by many names: The gauntlet, the judgement, the Portal. Wistfully, he remembered the days of yore, when he had stood shoulder to shoulder with some of the greatest fighters of the age. Men, Women, Machines, they had mostly gone to fight on new battlefields, these days.

But he remains, still fighting the good fight, prepared to condemn those who are not worthy of walking the same earth as he, allowing those of noble cause safe passage, despite the opinions of others.

One such character thought he had the jump on our hero and tried to sneak past. Coop was still quick and his axe ruthlessly sharp. He turned, ran three paces and dived headlong, dropping into a roll. As he rose, he deftly flicked his axe upward, slicing a gash across the side of the would-be sneak, causing him to stumble, although he did not stop. Coop was not about to let this one get away and an overarm lob sent the axe spinning toward the target. With a sickening crunch, the axe embedded itself in the creature's spinal column and it dropped, dead.

Coop walked over to claim his weapon. The lightning flashing across the skyline highlighted his unshaven chin, set in a stoic grimace. One down, many more to go.

Before Zerok deleted several posts in the Nominations thread, I had 8 nominations for Best Poster. At the time, I was in 4th place for highest nominations (3rd if you exclude Dobio). Now I'm at 6, so it all depends if Dobio DOES count for Best Poster or not. He counts for Best/Worst Moderator and I Miss Yew, but the others are rather vague. I'll just wait and see what happens. If I get through to the finals, that's brilliant, but if I don't, oh well. I'd still be honoured to receive 8 (well, 6 now) nominations for Best Poster. Not many users can receive at least 5 nominations for Best Poster.

As far as I know unless they specify explicitly that their Dobio vote is an actual nomination as opposed to not knowing who to nominate then it won't count. As you said though the fact you were nominated at all is a great thing, seeing as it is the highest honour awarded by these awards.

Yeah, I'm quite excited. The fact that a good number of people thought enough of me to put my name forward is a great honour, regardless of whether I make the cut or not. If I do (which I think i will) and have a shot, albeit a slim one given my relative anonymity amongst the NG populace, then that's an added bonus.
