Got my final exam in my Computing for Scientists module today. It counts for 50% of our final grade, but I'm not too worried, it's essentially slightly complex Microsoft Office, so it should be grand.

After they post their achievements or whatever certain people who make lists like the one you quoted congratulate them on their level ups. It's nice to have so people know how they rank among other people on the site. I'm sure you could have figured that out with some common sense though. :/

but i see no point in people congratulating them. the pages are filled with 5 or more people congratulating the same people, there's no point in that. think they just spam this thread to get their post count up.

I think it's great that people come here to congrat people. And to be fair, many of the people making lists of people to congrat are regulars and already have thousands of posts so doing one or two every now and then in this thread is hardly spamming to get their post count up.

If somethings positive, I don't see it as spam anyway.

Well, this thread is devoted to posting level-ups. It would be kind of pointless to have pages of milestones and no recognition for them, wouldn't it?
I see this thread as a community all its own. We all love NG, we like to level up, and we like to share our milestones with our NG peers. Besides, giving and receiving congrats is just a kind and enjoyable thing to do. :P

It's a better reason to get post +1 than just to write what you've achieved, even if you haven't gotten an achievement.

If you don't like what we do here and you think it is spam, then there's a simple solution.

1) Close your browser
2) Turn off your computer
3) Dispose of your computer

Failing that, simply stop hanging around here - no-one asked anyone else to make these lists, we made them of our own volition and we shall continue to do so for as long as we like

The LUL one of the oldest threads on Newgrounds that is still active, since 2002 in fact. It's been running for 6 years, which is longer than I, you and most people have even been on Newgrounds. Don't you think that if it was "useless spam" as you put it, it would either have died or been locked by now?

Fact is, pointless as you claim it to be, this thread has more history, tradition and right to existence than almost any other thread on the website. What's more, you seem to be missing the Lounge part of the title, like almost every other forum Wi/Ht? needs a thread where regulars can chat about stuff. Difference is, this thread also congratulates people on their level ups i.e. it serves two purposes. Therefore, if this is "pointless", what would you call all the other lounges?

I've wasted enough time typing this. At the end of the day, if you have a problem with this place, just leave.
