I managed to find this pic of the 5-1 win, but it's not the best.
Actually I like that one ... it doesn't say who they beat =P
I found this quote while I was wandering around lol
"This is an unexceptional Brazil team, an ordinary German one, and it has been the worst World Cup anybody can remember. Yet the fact remains Germany reached the Final, for the seventh time, which is half-a-dozen times more than England."

Hey! I like my armored rugby er... American football. I agree that my favorite sport ended up with the wrong name, but it's no less of a real sport.
I also will watch soccer :P but I only really get into the World Cup competition since I like the "battles between nations."
Those are cool pictures.
hat entire concept stems from me teasing my brother. He played Center for his high school football team. Yes American football. Sundays in the fall, when I'd come up to visit, I'd scroll over to Fox Sport World and tell he he couldn't change it since I was watching real football. Prime-time for European matches (the stuff they played live) was 8pm their time ... which meant he had an hour to really get into some AFL game before I changed the channel to watch Ajax.

Your BACKUP is a 1 gigahertz (think you mean Ghz there, not GB) processor?!?!? Jesus christ. I'm still using this shitty P2 266 mhz, and my "backup" is a P1 120 mhz out at my parents house.... blrhtgwposegjpowejgsg seog DAMN YOU ALL!!!
Yes, I meant GHz. And for a mere $600 or less you can build your own 1.7GHz PC. My brother's new PC cost a grand total of $605 with tax.
Strip/barebones tower with Athlon chip: $204
512 PC100 RAM chip: $64
80 GB Hard drive : $82
ATI Sapphire video card: $78
DVD player grandfathered from old PC: $0
CD-RW player: $49
Extra long ribbon cable with jump: $3
Legit copy of WinXP on student discount: $121
It also took my father and brother a week and a half to put it together since they refused to wait until I came up to get started, so that entire 10 days I was on the phone every day trying to undo whatever it was they did wrong. The hardware we got working in short order. The main problem was that my brother used a pirate XP on his old PC and exported all his old files to the the new hard drive. My father had recently bought my mom a laptop and tried to use her legit XP to install as an OS on my brother's hard drive ... *shudder*
It's WinME. It has to be. Change OSes. Fucking WinME.
likely right
heh... 34567890 is indeed cool... but can it match the 6000 / 6000 I pulled off?! Eh!? CAN IT?!
To me, yes. I refuse to stall that friggin long to get protects back up to 50% =P
And yes, 12345 kicks butt. Ahem. (from the midday update on 7/22):
Yep, I was right, it does look cool =)
Goddamnit, Dogma. Aren't you an AMERICAN? How can you love that guy? #;-}>
I was born in Frankfurt off-base, so my folks registered me at the wrong place. This was back in the days where you couldn't even have dual US citizenship with Canada so, when I hit 18 and did nothing, the US acted like I chose US. Germany hasn't forgotten. As far as I'm concerned, the US passport needs to be changed from blue with a gold eagle to red and white concentric circles.
Seriously, though, I admire him as well, he's quite the goalie. If it had been ANY OTHER FREAKING team but the US team (and okay, maybe Ireland), I woulda been rooting for 'em that night in June of 2002... bleh!
Ronaldo beat out Klose for the "Golden Boot" (most goals in Cup) and deservedly so. Klose got 4 of his 5 goals on Saudi. The real playmaker for Germany was Ballack, who got yellows against US (questionable card) and Korea (extremely questionable card) so had to sit out the final. So who got the Golden Ball (best player of the Cup)? Kahn, by quite a large margin of Ronaldo as I recall.

Might want to check out liljim's latest post over in General. I asked about it, but he hasn't replied yet, and it seems unlikely in any case.
I was thinking of you, Joe, when I made this one lol
