It's not a may be, it's a definitely. There were rumours about it as long ago as December, and it was confirmed by Activision over a month ago. It's the same thing as the Rocks the 80s, it's a spinoff of GH3 just like that was a spinoff of GH2. No real new gameplay, same engine... just new songs and character models/outfits/etc.

Well, over here we call both the Republic and the North "Christian," it's the Catholic vs. Protestant conflict to us, didn't know you guys termed it differently.

There isn't much of a conflict anymore. There's the odd gangland thing but that's the same everywhere really.

I wasn't referring to simply violence, but just the cultural difference/conflict/incompatibility. Which you seem to be describing quite well.

The incompatibilities are really non existant. The two religions are so similar it's actually silly. I can imagine if people in Ireland weren't so stubborn and could actually accept that fact there would be no hate etc. But that's just being idealist and our society doesn't work like dat.

I didn't know it was that much of a change, that really is bad. But the thing is the world is in "economic crisis" so everything must seem to be justified. I heard that Saudi Arabia isn't producing as much fuel as it did because the demand has gone down. But then how can prices be so high if there doesn't need to be as much??? I think it's way too controlled, we need oil & oil based products so why not make them hugely expensive WE'LL STILL BUY IT.

You also have to understand that you guys do not drive anywhere near as much as we do. The nearest big cities to my city (Houston) are 180, 200, and 350 miles away. If you drove that far from where you are in a straight line, I'd wager you'd be in the Atlantic Ocean. Am I right?

Well depends in what direction but yes pretty much, I never actually thought of it that way.

And if you drive to those cities (Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas), you haven't even gone halfway across my state (Texas).

How much would it cost to drive accross Texas then, roughly. I'd say to go from Belfast to Cork, most northenly & southernly cities (well they're just 2 glorified towns really :P) it would probably cost about 100Euro ish.

And my state, while big, is not even halfway as long as the full USA is.

I suppose I have to travel halfway across Ireland just to go to college from my house on Monday morning. And it does only take me about 2 hours.

Truck drivers who bring us our groceries and other products are having to pay nearly $4.00 per gallon of diesel fuel, when just 10 years ago it was $1.00 per gallon.
That's 4 times as much. They drive 1000s and 1000s of miles each week. It's killing our industries and business, it's absolutely ridiculous how the costs are increasing but wages are not.

I find it really bad that an economy built on transport and competitivness is now starting to break down just because people must meet the same profit margins. I have a great respect for truck drivers. There job is so hard and time consuming. And without them we wouldn't have anything at all really.

So we may pay half as much as you, but we drive 10x as many miles as you, if not more. So.... ask yourself... who pays more, really? This is also why public transport doesn't work as well in the USA as it does in the UK, Ireland, and Europe in general. Distance kills profit/use by commuters/residents/travelers.

I suppose the only advantage you have is your road system is better but that's only a small easing on the strain of the driving problem. And mainland europe's roads are excellent. I suppose it's only a matter of time till it gets worse. Unless dratic steps are taken.

Hence why there isn't a problem with my current style with the exception of myself wanting to improve to make flashes that have been impossible to make. So anything like 3D background movements and more detailed fights, those I cannot do right now.

I guess the greatest thing about not having made all those deposits in 2000-2002... is not only do I get the joys and hard work and travails of climbing the top exp ladder right now.... but I also will get to be #36 in exp (probably for quite some time). Which never would have happened this way had I deposited just about every day since I signed up 8+ years ago.

That's very true. It's always more fun to climb the ladder than to have simply been situated at the top of it almost since the beginning - IMO, anyway.

Had I done that, I probably would have zipped through #36 in just a day or so on my way up to #5, #4, or #3 in exp, whatever I'd be now. One of those.

Yeah, so I guess there's a silver lining of all those missed deposits after all :)

Ah, sorry, didn't see that due to my absence from the LUL. I dunno really, he seems to have just disappeared. I first started to notice his inactivity from the EGB roster - he hasn't B/P'ed at all over the past few weeks.

Pretty solid accomplishment, in my opinion at least - considering I was at 7000 or so in August. Maybe I can make it to 20,000 before I shut it down for the summer (my internet access at home sucks, and with work, I don't have a lot of time to spend on NG, sadly)
