Nah, the exclamation mark stands for a "not" in many programming languages. Therefore "!=" stands for "not equal" (or "doesn't equal" in correct english). And therefore "Bahamut != Haggard" means "Bahamut doesn't equal Haggard".
I wrote that because you mixed up the two names up there when you wrote in response to Bahamut "Bahamut has 150,000", whereas you actually meant "Haggard has 150k" ;)
