Yeah, I finished all 40 of my Killers songs, was starting to listen to some Led Zep but my iTunes was getting laggy due to all my opera tabs from posting, so I killed it and turned on the MusicChoice channels on cable. Going between Metal/Rock/ArenaRock/ClassicRock (that lovely 786-789 range of channels). Rock's playing nothing but shit and ClassicRock's playing some weird ol' soft shit, so I'm mostly on the Metal (the Maiden) and ArenaRock (the Priest and Alice C) tonight.

I'm a good-natured enough person that I don't get snappy even if I don't eat until like 6 or 8PM in a day. Which happens occasionally, but I usually eat my small-but-usual lunch at work at some point between 10AM and 2PM.

Only reason I bought one was for Halo, because back then it said 'ONLY FOR XBOX', and I'd played it on a friend's Xbox, sampling its awesomeness. If i'd known it was coming out on PC a while later, I would have waited.

Yanno, Bungie was a great company that made games like Marathon back at the start (which I don't have, but I played it once), and then Myth and Myth 2, which were awesome... and were for PCs.

When Halo was announced as a project, I was super excited as a Doom/Quake fan because it was SUPPOSED TO BE FOR PC FIRST AND FOREMOST.

Then Microsoft had to go and make a video game console. Stupid bastards.

If they hadn't, Halo woulda been a PC game first, a console game SECOND, just like the Dooms and Quakes had been beforehand.

So I just find it sad that you had to buy an XBox to get Halo, and sad that I've never played Halo even for 1 second because I refused to buy an XBox to play the game I really wanted to play before it ever even came out... and won't play on either of my PCs. Maybe I'll get the PC version of Halo when I get my new deskop this year.

Yeah, I've had a 2 hour sleep night work once. Just once. The other 5 times it didn't work. So I'll take a pass on that. Better to pull the all-nighter in my opinion at that point.

So I just find it sad that you had to buy an XBox to get Halo, and sad that I've never played Halo even for 1 second because I refused to buy an XBox to play the game I really wanted to play before it ever even came out... and won't play on either of my PCs. Maybe I'll get the PC version of Halo when I get my new deskop this year.

Well this is one of the reasons why I was dubious about buying an Xbox in the first place - because there was only the one game I was interested in at that point. Thankfully a few more came out that I wanted, so I did end up with quite a few, BUT it's now the same thing for the Xbox 360. I haven't bought one, and the only reason I would buy one right now is for Halo 3, so it's not really worth it. If something else awesome like KOTOR 3 came out on 360 though, I'd probably get one then.

I don't think the original XBox ever had enough games on it to merit buying it unless you're the "must own all consoles" type, which I've never been.

I mean, I had an Atari 2600 and an Intellivision 2... but no Colecovision.

I had a NES and a Sega Master System and a SNES and a Genesis (a lot later), but no TurboGrafx16, NeoGeo, etc...

I had a PSX and a Dreamcast but no N64 or Saturn or Jaguar.

I had a PS2 and a Gamecube but no XBox.

And I have a Wii and no XBox 360 or PS3.

BUT it's now the same thing for the Xbox 360. I haven't bought one, and the only reason I would buy one right now is for Halo 3, so it's not really worth it. If something else awesome like KOTOR 3 came out on 360 though, I'd probably get one then.

Wouldn't a game like KOTOR, which IIRC means Knights of the Old Republic... be coming out for PC also? Anyway, 360 does have some good stuff.

You're right there. Last year was an interesting year for films. It had 300 (which I still haven't seen yet), Die Hard 4.0, the fifth Harry Potter movie, Spiderman 3 and The Simpsons Movie. While I hated The Simpsons Movie, at least a movie starring The Simpsons finally came out, even though I thought it would have been released 10 years ago around the time they were at their very best.

You know, we could also say posts achievement cause spamming as well, but I really think it's not as encouraging as PPD achievements.
