I think over a year is good enough for people to get used to your rank.

I thought Shanus meant it'll take me 1.2 years to reach level 46. Unless I misunderstood him that would be a jump of 5 levels in a very short time.

Yup, 1.2 years until Recon reaches level 46, a 1.2 year gap is about what it would've taken in the old system to go up a level.

Well, the main reason I read it for is because I started reading the books, and after a while I got into the story. Obviously I wanted to know the end! But still, I sure enjoyed reading it. And I must admit I've never read the Hitch Hikers Guide, though I know I should :/

You really should, you know (LOL), the intense humor can't be matched by any other book IMO. The movie wasn't that bad for a movie, but it wasn't 100% focused on the original plot.
