Actually, it wouldn't do you any good. I use Netscape. I probably should have specified originally, considering the fact that you were having the problem with IE. I use both browsers off and on, and the problem occurs with both.

sowwy, too late. I'm sure it was just a glitch on the list.

You COULD just e-mail or AIM Testerline and find out if he actually got credit for 20 points, or just 10 points and it was an error. I'm sure he'd fess up if he somehow cheated the system. It's not like you'd get your account deleted for somehow depositing twice in one day (that's the system's responsibility, not yours).

Anyway, to redrum and leeboy:

liljim encouraged me to reset my history. I'd considered it, while clearing my cache and all, but I didn't want to risk losing the visited color on links I'd visited for the past few months before this problem happened...

but him recommending it in addition to it being in the back of my head as something I really should try... led me to clear the history. And it worked.

Hopefully it'll work or already worked for you guys, too.

Weird thing is, though, all the links to movies and to the forum, users, etc. at the top of the portal, all the portal links were back to yellow. But on the actual pages of movies, the top links to help, forum, chat, etc... were still orange, as though they'd been visited! Sooo weird.

The Cache, cookies, and history are three different things, man. It wasn't the cookies, it was the history. (i.e. that which keeps track of visited links and also allows you to pull up a list of what sites you've been to on what days for however long you tell the browser to keep track of)

God forbid it be a cookies problem. I have so many freakin' cookies from dozens of sites, I'd have a hard time restoring the ones I need for membership at sites and settings and stuff.

anywho. I dunno, portal hasn't been too slow for me. Some of the movie pages are refusing to load on the first try, but second one usually gets 'em up, and the movies themselves are loading. Only one error on voting tonight so far.

I passed by 9800 so fast and just blew through 9820. I wouldn't be surprised if I hit 10,000 this weekend.

But I might be going out of town for a day or two, so... maybe not. I hope I'm not going to miss a day of experience, but I might. bleh.

It seems to me that the day when the entire top 50 list is swarmed with officers (Well, okay, officers AND warrant officers... 8000 is much more reachable than 9500, as the list attests to)... is not far off.
