No you can get as many whistle points as your hearts desire. it is just that now all the whistle levels are on a fixed scale so it doesn't matter if you have the most you will never be higher then the other deity's.

Besides, Wade also said that silver was too easy to reach so far, and there never was a huge flood of "I got the silver whistle" posts as far as I can tell. It's something that happened occasionally, but not more often than other rank- or level-ups etc., and gold and deity will still be more difficult to reach than the new (and thus also the old) silver, so I doubt we'll see a huge influx of "I got gold" and "I got deity" posts after the initial barrage in the wake of the change. :)

...until the system either changes again (so you need more whistle points to get to deity) or new whistle levels are introduced. ;)

you mean fix the levels so that pimp can't raise the bar? If that happens then pimp's days or raising the bar will be over like mine were when the whistle system was fixed. but he will still be the number one user since he has the most points until someone passes him.

I don't disapprove of the new system at all. I can't say I am 100% happy that it is changed, but I am happy with it because now I can help out even more since I have a 5.00 whistle power instead of my old 3.00. It is the after taste of "Certain users" that I don't like. the only thing that hasn't changed with the new system is the users with the garbage whistle's. they still don't have an effect when trying to flag stuff but they can still gain + or- whistle points when the stuff they flag is cleared. in other word they have to hope that someone else who isn't at a garbage level flags it enough in order for them to get whistle points.

The whistle system has been changed. Now instead of it being on a sliding scale all the levels are now fixed so any one can get deity as long as they get XXX number of whistle points. I think it still works the same way. I mean, you (being the top user, who Wade was probably referring to when he said some people have over 20,000 points) have a HUGE amount of whistle points. So while everyone else is still deity in whistle level, I think you still have the most power in terms of whistling flash entries. Kinda like how a user with low experience on a level will have the same icon as a user with higher experience, but the user with higher experience will have a higher base voting power.
