Um... I'm not "very highly ranked" either - and I can tell you that to blam and protect, all you need to do is go to the flash portal (the big button up top), click on any submission in grey, watch it, and then if you vote 0 or 1, and it is deleted, you get a blam point, and if you vote 2,3,4,5 you get a protection point (if it stays) - I would attach a picture, but I have a feeling that the people in this lounge would get angry at me...

I'm not going to show pictures like those lazy guys :P So to get points you go to the portal then click on the gray movies under the 50 most recent. They are on the top of the list usually. That is unless there are no under judgment movies. You can also check if they are under judgement by putting your mouse over the movie and if it has no score it is under judgement. When you click the movie and it has a score move on to the next movie. It has been saved. I would work my way up from the oldest under judgement movie up to the newest. Highest number gray up to the lowest.

Blam/protection points can only be made on a movie that is "under judgment" (they appear gray in the portal). If you vote a 0 or a 1 on a movie, and it becomes subsequently deleted (see below for deletion qualifications), then you get a blam point. Conversely, when you vote 2, 3, 4, or 5 on a movie that goes on to be protected (not deleted), then you will get a protection point.

Movies are (currently) deleted if they fall below the listed score at the listed number of votes:

100 votes - 1.0
150 votes - 1.25
200 votes - 1.60

Well to get the points you wait till the movie has either passed or blammed and if you got the vote right you will get the points.

Yeah, I would try going for egsc before 49days its a lot better getting passed 10vp before you reach esgc.
