I was in a street named after my suburb and there were so many people. I think it was a street festival, but it was at night. I think I mobiled carmel, who seemed to be mazza and I tried to find you down the street as I was concerned for your safety.
So do both of you have black coloured hair?

Well, thanks for your suggestions...I've got two considerations now...Karate and Kendo, but I just have to find out lesson prices for both as budget for me is important. Once I've done that, I'll choose the better of the two!

At 6/25/05 12:05 AM, ReconRebel wrote: I had an interesting encounter yesterday. After a busy shift I made it home around 1:30AM and decided to roll up a fat number and step outside to gaze at the night sky. So here I am standing on the front lawn with no one in sight and about halfway through the joint I hear what sounds like a horse galloping towards me from behind. Living so close to the city that's the last thing you'd expect to hear but since I was nicely buzzed at this point it didn't register in my brain and I casually turned around to see what it was. At first glance I assumed it was a stray dog roughly the size of a grown German Shepherd standing close enough for me to pat it on the head. The animal didn't seem the least bit frightened of me so I knelt down to pat it. That's when my thought processes finally kicked in and I realized it was a big coyote staring me in the face! I instinctively jumped back which caused the coyote to jump back and disappear around the side of the house. After a couple of minutes I regained my composure and fired the joint back up. A few minutes later I hear a soft whining behind me and sure enough it's the coyote again standing about 10 feet away. I sat down on the steps, he sat down on the lawn and we stared at each other for the next five minutes while I finished my spliff. After that I got up, nodded to him out of respect and headed inside. I'm not sure where he went because I never turned around to watch him go.
My father had a den of coyotes living on property in he purchased in Colorado. They generally fear people and are nocturnal so coyotes as species rarely bother humans. We'd hear them check the garbage cans or chasing rabbits.
It's very unusual that it approached you so calmly. They are very curious but untrusting of people. (but what wild animal should trust humans?) This one is somewhat used to humans!? (and likely enjoyed being downwind of your smokes)
The Native North-Americans would say that the Coyote came there to teach you something...

Thanks BonusStage. It wasn't that difficult to write about since it really happened. Haha, I can still remember the feeling of shock that shot through me when I realized I was face to face with a coyote. I wonder if he got a contact buzz off the weed I was smoking.

It did seem extremely tame for a wild animal Adelbert. That and the dim light tricked me into believing it was a dog. Keeping it as a pet is out of the question unless I pull a Grizzly Adams and go live in the mountains ;-)

Funny you should say that Alkador. It wasn't until I looked into it's eyes that I became fully aware of what was going on. Weird how it just sat there and watched me get stoned.
But if I was in that position, I would have been scared and possible have risked harming myself.
Harming yourself? How?
Lucky for us we only have foxes. How have you been anyway?
Foxes are cool. They're like nature's imps, always getting themselves into sticky situations but finding a way out at the last minute. I've been good, a little tired though. I've been wasting time on the PS2 again so sleep has been limited. Tonight I'm gonna relax to the DVD "Twelve Monkeys" with Bruce Willis.

I've read about this stuff years ago. They also hold the raven in high regard as well. I'll pull out a couple of books tonight and see what info I can find about the two.

I didn't JC.
"That which does not kill me makes me stronger." I don't believe in such things. I believe in something a little more realistic. "That which does not kill me may still break my neck, sever my spine, crush my rib cage, fracture my skull and leave me to drown in a puddle of my own blood."

You're way off YoinK. I was only reminding JC that I didn't forget to congratulate him on the 35,000th post in here. He took my post literally (kinda like you did with his) and replied accordingly.
Question. Why do psychics have to ask for your name when you go in for a reading?

ah okay... my bad. Now I feel like an idiot. 35,000th post.. wow that is a lot of posting. Luckily there is always something that can be said to make this place interesting.

They ask for your name to make you feel special and comfortable/relaxed.

I sort of know what you mean. I *did* have a few dog friends out there and I've been in situations where we just look one another in the eye without moving or anger...weird stuff.
But if I was in that position, I would have been scared and possible have risked harming myself.Harming yourself? How?
I would have freaked out, tried to run or something. Dogs can sense fear apparently and it could have made it nervous or even provoked it.
Foxes are cool. They're like nature's imps, always getting themselves into sticky situations but finding a way out at the last minute.
I remember seeing a story on TV once involving a shop and a fox trapped beneath the fridge. It was really strange as the space was so tiny and this big thing (or it seemed big compared to the space) was pulled out.
I've been good, a little tired though. I've been wasting time on the PS2 again so sleep has been limited. Tonight I'm gonna relax to the DVD "Twelve Monkeys" with Bruce Willis.
I guess everyone deserves to be tired. Just breath out all that air and you'll feel it. School holidays (winter) here, so I can spend two weeks relaxing.
How is everyone? Please, don't spend the day doing nothing. Thanks.
