OOOOOOH not the best idea. Nowadays, with so many teams in California with that much pride, switchin to California will stir the pot. How about the Orange County Angels, or the Southern California Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim USA? oh wait I got it, the Anaheim Angels, no disagreements, its where they are located and sounds good.

so no one liked my idea?
the trivia thing could be good since i know a lot about many wars from the Roman era to today's war in Iraq. I could be one of the hosts.

If more people post agreeing, I'll start posting questions.

Well Orange County Angels kind of sounds ok, since they are the only baseball team in Orange County and the other team in the county is the Ducks from NFL.

In #3, you forgot one part of the answer (hint, in 1800s) - so I'll let time pass on that - the rest were 100% correct.

Did it have to do with panama? or the native americans?

Let's sing the first line of the Marine Corps Hymn shall we?

From the walls of Montezuma, to the Shores of Tripoli

I just pretty much gave it away here... if you know which one it is.

You are completly correct - the Battle of Tripoli

Only 60 U.S. Marines, and 250 Arab mercinaries were for our side - we did take some city in Tripoli, but it was quickly taken back, and was an utter failure in the end.

Ok, my turn, this will be an ongoing quiz that will go one question at a time, so as to be fair to people who are not online.

First Question:

Who is the pilot to fly the Enola Gay thus being the first person to drop an atomic bomb?

Agreed - I sort of made that as a starter.

First Question:

Who is the pilot to fly the Enola Gay thus being the first person to drop an atomic bomb?

The Pilot was Brigadier General Paul W. Tibbets (now Brigadier General)

ok...um.....
Why did Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq lost to israel in the arab-israeli war?

because they wern't co ordinated or offically allied plus the egyptians and syrians had just purchased soviet war machines and had not had time to master the new technology also jordans armys were poorly equipped and iraq was not involed if anything iraq would be inclined to join israel as both were being funded by america.

I forget what Greek philospopher said this, but he said:

The smart in times of Peace, prepare for war

Or what you said - not sure which though.

Anyhow, the statement is completly true - the Athenians and Spartans used it in the Peloponnesian War, when both Athens and Sparta made "truces", where all they'd do was bulk up their armies.

I don't really know about the F.A.M.A.S., but I know that the G36C is a fine assault weapon for this nation's police - it does the job quite well.
