The thing everyone needs to keep in mind is this law is currently active, but it maybe shot down and changed in the near future. So until then we just have to lay low and play it safe. If the laws stands and is set in stone by the courts then we may have to take more actions, like removing all content from the site that would be in violation of the new regulations.

There is no real need for nude images on the forums, so it's a quick and easy way to limit the porn we have on the site. Like it or not, our adult content brings in a huge amount of visitors to this site. Many of these people branch out to other parts of the site and view non-adult material as well. If we were to remove all the entries that contained nude sexual images of real people it could result in a loss of traffic. This means even legit entries that don't have any nudity in them or any adults themes would get a lot less views, exposure, etc.

While we try and keep the adult content to specific areas of the site, it is an important part of the site. Just like MTV showing half naked women on their various shows is important for their ratings, etc.

What about hentai, if you decide to remove that it'll take years to clean the portal...

I've said MANY times that cartoon porn isn't illegal and it can stay on the Portal. We don't really want it on the forums, but it's okay if it's in the Portal if the entry doesn't break other rules. We don't really want Hentai slideshows coming in, but if people are drawling their own art and putting into movies, games, etc, that's okay.

Also keep in mind older entries on the site that are already here are fine, they were submitted before we change the rules.

While I do find this possible new law to be ridiculous in terms of our rights as American citizens, I find it funny at the same time; now, many people who despised hentai before will have to view it if they want to view free pornography, because I doubt there will be many free pornographic sites if this law is passed. I can go without any kind of porn whatsoever, but I do feel a little sorry for the "pornoholics" out there.
