go to your asio settings and check that hardclip box. Does it now, before render, sound closer to how it sounds after render?
I checked the box and exported it again but the same problem still persists unfortunately.

Did you listen to it while in FL studio? Checking the box wont fix the problem it will just make it audible before exporting it.

if it is audible before export, it is a problem with your song, not export.

Oh I see! Yeah sorry I am new to FL :P

So I suppose that only way to prevent this from happening is to remove it and start over again from scratch?

All you have to do is fix your dB levels. The reason the distortion is there at all is because you are going over 0dB

make it under 0dB and the distortion will be gone.

- Disable maximum polyphony
- Alias-free TS404
- Trim PDC delay

I've made several attempts to export them properly with different settings but with the same annoying result.
My guess is it has nothing to do with the export settings. You probably arent experiencing clipping in FL studio because you do not have the "hard clip over 0dB" option checked allowing you to go over 0dB while inside of FL studio without really hearing the distortion but as soon as you export it you are no longer using a 32bit floating point engine to hear your audio, which is why you would hear distortion after you export.

I recommend 2048 samples for the buffering in FL ASIO. The Primary Sound Driver also works for a sample buffering rate of 2608smp (60 ms), high priority, making sure that the Mixer resampling is at 24-point in FL 12, and 6-point Hermite for FL 11 to FL Studio 7. Primary Sound Driver works well if you're into rendering, and, if you get underruns, don't fret. It normally occurs in your FL Projects, depending on the CPU you use. This isn't even spam.

Hi, I'm maybe planning to buy my own laptop, because I've used my parents laptop so far. So, the problem is that it has too weak CPU. The CPU load rise easily around 100 and it's impossible to do anything with it. (Yes I know, I use too much plugins... It's bad habit...)
It has "Intel Dual-Core 2830" and it's not enough.

So, my question is that what kind of CPU would be good enough for laptop? (I'm sorry if this question is little bit off-topic, but if anyone knows something about laptop CPUs and their performance, it would be nice. I'm not that good with laptops hardware..)

you'd want to go for at least an i3 or i5 as far as intel CPUs go. if you're not using lots of sampled instruments or working with long audio stems you can probably skimp on the RAM in favor of a faster CPU.

as far as using too many plugins goes, make sure you're not using CPU intensive synths like sylenth or massive for sounds that could be made with more compact VSTs and where possible use reverbs only as sends instead of putting them on individual channels

I think 8GB RAM is enough. My desktop computer still have 4 and no problem. As i5 CPU, what would be the number? Or benchmark?

I'm using sylenth quite a lot but not sure am I using it right :D What kind of sounds do you mean? And about reverb, I just use it "normal" way. So it's on that same channel as the instrument. It is OK?

not sure about laptop cpus tbh

any "simple" synths, 1-osc/chiptuney stuff

if you have a bunch of instruments and they all have different reverb plugins then you should be running them all into one or two (e.g. short and long) reverb sends instead, saves CPU and also makes ur mix more coherant

Ahh, now I get the idea of sended reverb. Never tried to use it like that. I will definitely try it out. Thanks.

But yeah, I also found this topic https://support.image-line.com/knowledgebase/base.php?ans=214
So there I can find answer for my CPU issues.
Thanks for help. :)

I'm having issues exporting while using Gross Beat and I can't seem to find an answer to this.

When I export, anything automated with that simply becomes ignored. Since I'm using Gross Beat to sidechain it's pretty noticeable and quite the unwelcomed problem. I've noticed this with other automated sounds and they seem to involve issues with third party extensions like Massive or Kontakt. I've tried just recording with Edison and saving it as a "sample" mp3 file but then I lose about more than half of the volume with the track.

I've looked online bought I can't seem to find anything. Any ideas?

Heya,

I've been having trouble with FL. This has been one of my problems for a while now, I usually just ignore it. I'm having trouble finding the 'Make Me Famous' button. I know a lot of producers have actually managed to find it and wow, look at where they are! For me and other producers who still cannot find it, could someone please give a tutorial on where to find it or something?

Thanks,

I have ideas for a song, and I was wondering if it were possible to use automation to modify the length of a note/notes in a pattern?

What could explain the reason for a pattern to start producing sound before the notes even hit?
I've got an instrument channel that plays the individual notes too early/not in sync with the other channels, like literally playing before the it's time for the notes to actually play. ??
Any help is appreciated.

are you using kontakt or other sampler that auto-sync with FL? try to turn off the auto sync and manually change tempo.

Hello. I'm not sure if this topic too old and dead, but anyway, on the question; Is there way to check PLUGIN'S CPU usage while playing the song? I would like to check which my plugin loads most my RAM and CPU while everything is active. Thanks.

I dunno if this goes here, but I searched a Long time for anything. There is this kick in Envy's "Shinto". Straight from the beginning. I wanna know how it's done. I love that kick Sound and I hear this type of kick in a lot of tracks, sometimes even in tracks by more popular musicians, too. But I never got, how it's made. Shinto is the best example so far for what I mean.

I use FL Studio, Producer Edition.

In likelihood it could be a drum sample from who knows where. But you can get pretty close to this sound using the "BassDrum" synthesizer in FL studio. I turned duration to 43%, set up "Main" like: Base: just over halfway, Peak about 40%, Slide 25%. Turned everything down in the slave section, turned mix down in the middle bit. In the click section I set the freq to 18%, Cut to 90%, Level to 88%. In the Master section: Drive to 44%, Sub-bass to 80%, Attack to 0. And the sampling ratio to 50% (1.00).

Play around a bunch with this plugin, you can get a variety of sorts of kicks out of it.

So I made an orchestral remix of something, but the strings were just completely screwed up on export. I'm GUESSING the delay was set too high (if like, 5/100 is too high)
Here's the remix:
https://soundcloud.com/raging-riolu-368900163/megalovania-orchestra

The strings are supposed to follow the lead, and do at some points, but for the majority of the track they're just screwed up.
They were fine in the program though. My second guess it the computer was turned off while it was rendering. I was having it render overnight because it was taking so long, and when I checked on it this morning the computer was turned off.

Hoping this thread isn't dead. I made an account just to say this.
