i' use Hammerhead for drum beats to play guitar to, i've also made a few songs in the audio portal with it.

I use FlStudio 11 and it is a nice software. I've been making Deep/Future house for the past few months and if anybody could give me advice and feedback on how I used Fl Studio to make my songs I would really appreciate it. (:

Seconded!

No but in all honesty, pick a program and stick with it, because what's best for one won't work for another, I'm aware of that. I love FL 11's user-friendliness, but it can get messy.

Hi,
my best Music Program is Reason (since Version 6, older Versions are not capable of Recording Audio). You can handle Audio and Midi pretty easily. There is also a "Light" Version of it, if you only want to record your Audio, and it only cost like 50€. I also have Cubase 7, but it does not have, although it maybe has more features, a good workflow like Reason. Reason has a huge Soundbank, that comes with it. And there are no "hidden Features". I mean, you don't have to search for that particular function 2 hours, until you find it.

DAW: Cakewalk SONAR X3 Producer

Interface: Tascam US-1641

Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. The way you practice is the way you will perform.

I use FL because I love it's Piano Roll for my orchestral midi stuff, but its video player sucks a little bit :( so nowadays I'm looking for a DAW, that I would use only for film-scoring. Does anyone have a good recommendation for me?

I have 2 choices in my mind right now:
Digital Performer
Reaper

Digital Performer, because I've heard that it is one of the best for film-scoring, and has really good MIDI capabilities, and I saw some convincing stuff about it on YouTube too.

Reaper, because it's cheaper, but today I saw that Reaper 5 is out, and the people say that they developed something about the video playback or something, I'm not sure, but it looks like they focus about film-scoring now, so that might be and interesting (cheaper) choice too.

So what do you think people?

Btw, I'm using Behringer U-PHORIA UMC202 that came as a part of a "group", together with a Golden Age FC 1 MkII (?) I am not using it nowadys), and an LD Systems monitor headphones, I'm not sure about it's quality, but I don't have anything else, so I'm just using that, and it's ok for me so far :) (unfortunately I can't use monitor("speakers") where I live now..),
and btw I was lucky enough that the company sent me the wrong UMC audio interface, the original interface in the "group" should be UMC22, that has one mixed XML/Jack input, and one Jack-only input, but they sent me the UMC202 that has 2 XML/Jack input so I never complained to them about this :D ...

(So Digital Performer, or Reaper for film-scoring? Or other? :) )

I use Ableton Live for music production. One of the best features in Live is that you can convert an audio file into Melody, Harmony, and Drums. Other features include performance for DJ, Max for Live, creating your own Instrument/Audio rack, recording automation, warping audio.
