Sorry this took a while. I was dragged around town, back into to the holiday shopping season hell. Nearly got ran over at least 10 times. Yeah, that's the main reason I try to shop early, get it over with.

I'm so sorry, I can't do it today. I went to my grandparents today to help my grandma cook sauce for Christmas. I brought my DS, and I forgot it there, so I won't be able to do it. My mother said she was going to her boyfriends tonight, and incidentally, he lives 2 streets away from my grandparents, and she will pick it up and bring it tomorrow. I see you won't be able to do it tomorrow, so Christmas?

Hm...this is going to be difficult indeed.
I leave tomorrow, and won't be returning until the day after Christmas. Plus, my grandparents (or relatives, for that matter) don't have broadband internet. Perhaps that day I get back or the day after that maybe, but definitely not on Christmas.
In other news, I just hit 200 hours of game play on my Pearl file. Congrats to me, I...HAVE...NO...LIFE!

Hey guys I have a problem with my Pearl version, and was wondering if any of you had heard of this happening. I had a Weavile with Pokerus, and after one day it suddenly lost it...much more quickly than the rest of the ones that had it. Also, I talked to the Effort ribbon lady and for some reason she gave the weavile an effort ribbon even though it didn't have max EVs. Now none of my pokemon in my game can gain more than ~110 EVs, or so it seems, since that max number of EV negating berries I can give any pokemon in one stat is 11. Have any of you ever heard of this happening before, and if you have, is there a fix for it?

I'm not sure it it's a problem. The max EV negating berries you can give is 11 because for the first time you use it, it reduces a stat's EV to 100 if there are 111 or more EV points in a stat. After that, it takes about 10 more berries to finish getting rid of EVs. Also, the smiley face means that it has pokerus, but it won't be spread to other pokemon.

OK, it must have changed from RSE, since I remember giving 26 berries to some of my guys with max EVs. Thanks for the info...I'll still have to check again and see if the stats match up with the EVs I give it though. If it isn't stuffed, then I might not have to reset my game...

And you were right grade-zero, there wasn't a problem with the berries, though I do know something weird happened with the original weavile but that's all in the past now. I now have a new one which is at lv 35 so far...just another 65 to go. Better get that lucky egg out.

I wouldn't wanna see a Tangela over 100 times. That would be extremely annoying and plus, they ALL look the same. I bet if someone takes off all that green stuff around them, they will be a black ball with eyes. :/

But what if in those 100 times you saw one, the last one was *SHINY*? Then I think your patience will have been well rewarded. Speaking of which, how many people here have shinys legitimately? I actually have 3! All caught by chance without the pokeradar so it was a nice surprise for me. And also, does the pokeradar actually increase the chance of a shiny pokemon? Some places I've heard says it does, and others say it doesn't.

Did have a shiny Pidgey. Nature and ability sucked, but I raised it into a Pidgeot. Then I traded it off. Granted, I could've just kept it for show, but I'll probably run into another one at random. Happened the last time I was in a Pidgey swarm.
As for that Radar getting shinies easier, I'd say maybe.

That's cool. So far I've gotten a Tentacruel, a Floatzel and a Raichu which are all shiny. I did run into a shiny Bibarel in the Safari zone, but it fled on me. No big loss though, after all it WAS a Bibarel.
