Our warrenties are now voided, and now cannot update to the US version. And your Japanese version from July is now the old. Since they snuck in some extra code and security in the Japanese versions that are not from July, so it's the same as the US version.
On the subject of the same coding in the new JP and NA versions, some guy ran a hex editing program, and found out they both are identical bit by bit.

Chadlock...where did you save your update to? Did you make a folder in the Game directory in yor PSP folder? Did you look under at the game menu and find the white memory stick icon, and select "Software Update 2.00"? Did you go through a installation? Do yu have a router or any wireless connections? Are you sure you have 2.00 installed?
Okay, enough of that. After you installed it, it's supposed to restart your PSP, then you'd get a new icon next to your game icon in the menu. Also, as soon as your done installing it, you can delete the folder from your PSP. (The update folder)

Well thats what someone hear said... I'm not downloading it because I don't have a wireless router or any WiFi ability so it's pretty pointless for me to update and lose all my emulators.

I took the memory stick duo out of my psp and inserted it into my memory stick drive on my laptop, so I could back up my files for donwloading the update... but noo I had to put it in wrong and get it Jammed :( I'm fucked now.

Next time, when you connect your PSP to your computer, go to the folder where you save your game, and then make a copy to your desktop. Make sure everything you have on tht memory stick is copied ad backed up.
Now, re-format your memory stick, install the update, and then we'll go on from there.

Well, not exactly, the memory sticvk is stuck pretty deep in my computer... but it is still intact... if I can get it out somehow, I will still ahve my saves... point is... I cant doa nything with my PSP unless I get it out or order a new memory stick.
w00t. Got back from Maine today, I was able to get in some serious PSPage. I beat MGA, and I have 70 gold medals in Wipeout pure. But, now that I've gotten back it'll be more of everything else... I must admit though, the MGA story is soooo fucking crazy. Definately one of the greatest games ever concieved.

Ok... I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that my memory stick is still stuck in my computer.
The good news is that my computer is detecting the partially connected memory stick... so I was able to back up my files onto my compter.
The even further good news is that the memory stick stuck in there is the 32 MB one that comes wioth teh system... so I am going to buy a bigger one.

Depends on what you want to buy.
I think 128 is around 45 bucks
256 is 50 bucks
512 is 80
and for 1.0 G and 2.0 G not sure. I heard it was 500 for 2.0 but I doubt that highly.
