I'm just reopening this thread becuz it seems either no one cares or knows what Azumanga Daioh is... hopefully it's the latter.
I'm making a flash about a new boy in town who just moved to Japan and is about to attend his first day at his new high school...(in which the Azumanga characters attend as well), and I need a voice for the lead male:
Shimizu Takagawa-Red Spikey hair and ready for a fresh start at his new high school, Chinese
his voice should sound like a high school Freshman, not like some 30 year old child molester.
His voice should also be excitable and kind of light, but still like a guy.
The other voice I need so far is for his teacher...
Yukari Tanizaki-If you've seen Azumanga Daioh you should know how her voice sounds(the english one)
and if you've never seen it before, (i don't really know how to explain but...) kind of womanly I guess, not very child sounding, kind of spunky...in a teacher kind of way, she should sound like she is in her late 20's or early thirties.
P.S. These are only the voices I need right now, I will post the others as the need arrives.

I'm not sure if I got the full jist of your post, but we're not talking about ending VAing all together, we just want to redirect more traffic to the seperate voice acting forums,
voiceactingclub.com, so that the voice actors there have more work, and the producers have a much larger range of voice actors and a much more effective way to find them.
