Well considering that good books cost anything from about $10 in brand new mint condition, you've got a bargain there.

sounds interesting, you'll have to tell us how it turns out.

I'll read this and Bourne Identity to conclusion at about the same time, giving me a mental brether I need for Bourne. It is very confusing.

So, I like confusing. the first one is the only that mind ratling though, so quit after the first book. Also, I find Ludlum so addicting, I just rented "The Janson Directive". I guess I'm taking a liking to the world of espianoge.

oh, and how far are you into Bourne?

I am thinking about reading it after I am done with The Silmarillion. I really want a paperback version though. Hardcover's are too expensive

S&Box, the gameĀ Facepunch Studio have been working on.

The bad thing about some books is that they can get really confusing cuz one chapter they can talk about one person and the next its someone else and they are like on the other side of the world or something >< Thats how some books are (wheel of time sometimes) BTW anyone know if there is going to be a 7th HP book? And i might read Da'Vincis Code or just watch the movie... anyone seen the movie and tell me if they htink it is good

I see no reason you cant join, I to have the Davinci Code, but have been putting off reading it because I find Robert Ludlum to be A pretty gripping Author. So far I've read The full Bourne Identity Series, The Tristan Betrayal, And am going to finish the Janson Directive By tomarrow(and I've only started reading

The Bourne Series does that alot from time to time, But I like Confusing, Intricate plot lines. The kind that arent completely transparent as to whats about to unfold.

And i might read Da'Vincis Code or just watch the movie... anyone seen the movie and tell me if they htink it is good

You must alway read the book. The movie never does any justice to the books. The Harry potter Movies ruined the books(no I know nothing of the 7th yet,) the bourne Identity both original and recent remake werent as good as the book(though the oroginal fallowed the book alot more closely,) The Bourne supremacy had nothing to do with the Series at all, and not one event in the movie came from the book, And I heard the lord of the rings series wasnt as good in theaters as the books were... but that I find a bit harder to swallow since the Movies were amazing. I have the whole LOTR series, but havent read them yet.

I'm not really a fan of Brown to be honest. I see it as a fad, like Harry Potter (though I'm not as bad as some Americans, who view Potter as the son of all Evil

hmm, thought you'd have been a bit farther in than that... When did you get the book and how often do you read it? I know it took me a bit too, but the rest of the series I blew through like it was nothing since it wasnt as cripplingly intricate.

I was introduced to Potter when I was in elementary school so It was actually the first big book I ever read. Also, At that age I thought it was the greatest. I still read all the new ones when they come out, but I,m not as enthused as I once was.

Coop would probably have the answer for you since he's into fantasy and sci fi. I'm currently reading Robert Ludlum, the author of the Bourne Identity series.

I got it from Play.com about a month ago and started reading it immediately. I did the first hundred pages before getting out of bed on the Saturday and my weekend was... different from then on.

The problem being that since I changede jobs, my living patterns have changed and I've still not got around to making myself some time to read every day. I used to spend about 2 hours a day when I had all that free time.

Fantasy authors. Well, lets start with the classics: Tolkien, obviously and Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker series. Then you've got Discworld, by Terry Pratchett, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight saga, Julian May's Saga of the Exiles, Robert Rankin (off the wall humor, but Sci-Fi / Fantasy) Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat Series and his stand a lone story, Bill The Galactic Hero.

I love reading Dean Koontz, and I have a published book of my own....

Though I don't want to join, I'd like any opinions or perhaps to indulge in a conversation about the brilliance of Dean Koontz. :)

This is not about a book I read but I would like to share it. Last month I was chosen for a special Book club that only 20 year 9s and above are choosen for. I'm one of the only 20 kids in England that are in it.

Nice. Are you published through
lulu or is it actually printed? I've put a few teasers down in the Writers Guild and Late Night Lounge for my attempt at a story (first two chapters)

Meh, Koontz isn't really my style. I was always more of a Sci-Fi fan, but one of my schoolfriends was raving about him. I've moved more into Crime and suspense thrillers (Bourne) which are definately very interesting.

Why not post some of your material in the Writer's Guild (link in my sig) we'd always love to read it there.

Well I found the book, and I was reading it, and about page 400 Some guy said he works for some other guy who no one really cares about, who (Coop, you'll probably be the only one who'll get this) was a desiple of David Abott, "who trained some agent and led a crusade to lure out Carlos the Jackle in the 70's" as the book put it. I stopped for a second, re read it, And squealed "Eey! Cross over!" really loud in my bedroom(at like 2 in the morning mind you).

well, 120 pages left and I'm finished with it. I doubt I have time to read tommarow, but can garauntee it done by Sunday.

I dont know, but you could possibly google it, or go to amizon.com and do a book search. I'm sure something'll come up.

well, I read "The Da Vinci Code," and thought it was an amazing book. The chapters were patheticly small, but I thought it helped serve as the splitting point between the individual characters. Like if one chapter followed Langdon, the next was about Silas, ans so forth. the way the information was delivered, it not only made it some realistic, It seemed completely possible. Everyone should go see this imediately,

I'll consider it, but I've got much on my plate at the moment. Maybe when I've finished Bourne and Intervention and Rik Mayall's autobiography (complete with spelling mistakes)

I like to pick one book at a time so it gets my full attention. As you're finding out, some of Bourne actually requires it from time to time. I just joined the waiting list for Angels and Devils, which to my understanding is the Davinchi Code prequal(sp?) and am reading Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six until It's my turn on A and D.

Hmmm. I'll have to take note since you're the only other person who seems to notice my posts. I swear I feel invisible in some of the clubs I've posted in for over a year now.

Well, in a few days I'll start reading Angels and devils, thought i'd have Rainbow Six almost done by now, but I'm still not even a quarter way in yet.

How about you Coop? how far are you into the what? 3-4 books you're reading at once?
