Fair enough. BTW, have you read my first chapter? (Page 24 of the Writer's guild onwards.)

I'd be interested to see what you think.

I have a few things i would like to state.

First, I just started reading Dracula, i do not know why i have not gotten around to reading it before, but i started yesterday and am on chapter 6 and it is a great read. I assume most of you already know that though. No one spoil anything for me though, because i have not seen the movies either.

Coop, can you email me your story in its entirety... because iwas sick for a while and then i had some probelsm with work. Anyway, i got lost and cant find where i am, and i cant get enough time online to read it all. So i was hoping you could just email it to me then i could print it off and read it away from the computer.
I would really appreciate it.
My email is Myst_Sparknode@hotmail.com

Where's Skeletor been, he okay?

Thanks alot Coop. I will read it today. I like how you told me not to sugar coat it, i guess you noticed that i try and be as nice as i can when it comes to peoples work. However, i won't do that with you, as i hope you would not with me. Later this week, mid week, i will be posting a short story of mine. I will notify you when i do, because your comments would mean alot to me.

Thanks again for emailing it.

You are probably one of the few people on NG who would read it and actually tell me what I need to hear. Most people would either say things like: 'You suck, go hang yourself' or 'OMFG that's so kewel, can i suck yr cock?!"

I need to be told what's wrong, because I've made mistakes, I just need to find them

Thanks again for emailing it.

No problem.

I would like to issue an apology: Reading of 'Monstrous Regiment has taken me longer than expected, due to illness, tiredness and woman trouble. I should be able to get a review of said book out before christmas, but I am making no promises this time.

Thank you for your patience,
Coop83

I posted a long review of my thoughts in the WG. So check it out. If i was not specific enough about certain mistakes you made, then just say. I can find time to read it over again and edit it or something. I am going away on a small vacation later this week, but if my review is not specific enough, i will see what i can do.

I'm still ploughing through 'Monstrous Regiment' but I shan't say anything about it until I get to review.

They ar by Gary Paulsen authors of "Brian's Winter", "Dogsong", and many others.

Here's a summary of the story:
13yr old Brian Robeson is visiting his divorced father on a Cessna (a small plane) when the pilot suffers a death from a severe heart-attack and Brian is forced to live out in the wilderness with only a hatchet his mother gave him as a parting-gift.

So, we're talking a Robinson Crusoe plot? Though maybe with a little 'Lord of the Flies' thrown in for good measure.

I just finished reading "the Outsiders" for school and now I have picked up "hichhikers guide to the galaxy". I'm not very far in it (50-60 pages) but already it seems like a very interesting book. Certain parts i have had to go back and read over 3 or 4 times and others just don't make sense and they aren't suppose to.

Douglas Adams was eccentric, but we don't care. He's the type of writer who came up with completely insane creations and was a little hard to read at points, but if you take your time and read it carefully, you should be able to get your brain around it.

D&D just takes a little practise to get the decisions right. Warhammer... JUST DON'T GO THERE

Watrhammer is just a huge waste of money. Believe me I used to collect it I now have an army thaI dont sue and cant do anything with.

And DnD Does just take a bit of practice anyone that tries it for the first time sucks at it and as long as you dont play witha lao dof rules lawyers you can have a fun time.

Speaking of DnD You play or usedto play DnD dont you Coop?

Yup, i got that aswell, its a difficult book to read mate, but stick in there, it gets way more complicated and funny. Its genuinely one of the few books that have made me laugh out loud while reading them in public transport. You get very weird looks when that happens, haha.

Hehehe, i went through a phase of that, and i was good at it aswell, but your right, it does cost a bloody fortune. My younger brother collects the Lord of the Rings stuff now, so i still like to go back to painting them. Im an amazing miniature painter by the way :)

Ok, im looking for some decent books Coop, help me out buddy. You know my style, fantasy for me rocks everything, but im willing to try anything else you suggest. I have no books i havent read in my "library" haha. So i need suggestions quick, before Crimbo.

Anything Fantasy, Sci-Fi, War, Weird.... Et cetera.

If your open to almost everything then might I make a suggestion? There is a set of books by an author called Terry Goodkind. Anyway the guy writes books that are fantasy based and are quite compelling. THE first book in the series is called Wizards first rule and there are about 8 book i believe in the series so far.

The basic plot is that a man from the nromal world (our world0 Gets transported to a relam filled with magic etc. When he gets there he meets someone form his world who turns out to be a wizard from the magical realm. Anyway the guy gets trained as a wizard and gets given a special sword and meets a girl blah blah blah. Icant really sya much more without spoiling thew story so Just do a search fro Terry Goodkind and read some blrubs and you will get the basics of the story

Will do frozen fox, i will look out for some of them when i go book hunting on friday, thanks for the suggestions.

I havent really read anything quite fantastical as LotR as Coop will probably tell you. Im the biggest fan (but havent got the new dvd, and coop has, bastard :P). Im just kind of worried nothing will live up to the standards i have set myself.
