I was super excited with all the concept designs, and work being put in. It was a huge bummer to hear the news. I do wish they'd change their mind, but it seems unlikely. Especially considering it's been 14 years since the last release.
Yeah, I would've loved it too.
I also would've loved Steambot Chronicles 2, but it was cancelled due to the Tohoku Earthquake
The mostly cancelled games is
Hytales
Kirby GCN
Crash land
Kirby kid
Conker Other Bad Day
Banjo Threeie
SIlksong
Rayman 4
MapleStory 2

Metal Gear Solid: Rising
I believe it was due to the original development team working on it not being able to make it work and bring the original intended vision for the game to life so Kojima got in contact with Platinum Games and they turned it into Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
I know NOBODY knows what in the hell I'm talking about, but years ago, their was going to be a Five Nights at Freddy's Fangame named "The Return To Freddy's 5". It got cancelled around a decade ago, but I still wish it came out! I loved the plot, tone, atmosphere, and aesthetic.
Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice
Basically an action asventure game based on the MK games where you would play as Subzero and Scorpion.
Sadly, NR are far too invested with chasing Marvel trends than actually making a good game.

LOL oh the irony.
I wonder if Redfall was up to Bethesda's "quality standard."

Modern Bethesda? I mean, did you see how they released Fallout 76 and Starfield?
Life is unfair.
Kirby GCN
Just looking at these causes me so much pain. We could've had it all.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode III. I genuinely think that if it was made now, it'd be amazing.

Apparently it would have be a sequel to Kirby Tilt n’ Tumble. Not sure how that would’ve worked on the GameCube because with the original game you used the GameBoy and not the buttons. There’s also Donkey Kong Racing. It would have been the sequel to Diddy Kong Racing.

That's actually a different game altogether, there were going to be multiple Kirby GameCube games but only Air Ride got released. I believe Tilt n' Tumble 2 would've used the GBA as a controller via connectivity. Frankly, I don't know why they didn't just make it playable with the GameCube controller itself like Super Monkey Ball. Also, Donkey Kong Racing is another one I think about all the time too! It was on the GameCube box along with other Rare games like Kameo and Star Fox Adventures. Shame what happened in 2002.
The new Timesplitters game that the recent incarnation of Free Radical Design was developing. But then Embracer bought a bunch of companies they had no way of managing whatsoever, and the Saudi money deal they were having fell through so they just closed and sold off a bunch of developers and FRD was unfortunately one of the companies that got closed.
Surprisingly, now that i think about it, i don't have that many, somehow. But i need to give an special shotout to these ones.
