TREASURE HUNT 2025
Ahoy mateys! It’s that time of year again! The Newgrounds Treasure Hunt is here! Captain @The-Great-One is here to take you on a voyage throughout Newgrounds!
There were many great entries on the site in 2024. Throughout the year though, many entries tend to slip through the cracks. This is where you come in! We’re on a swashbuckling tour to find the greatest treasures and hidden gems from all of the Portals; Movies, Games, Audio, and Art!
Those who find the best treasure will be rewarded with treasure of their own! Not only will you win, but the person who made the treasure will win as well!
TO ENTER
To enter, share a link for a maximum of one entry in each of the categories (movie, game, audio, art) by linking to it in this thread. You can link to an entry by simply pasting its URL by itself on a line; NG will convert it to a more visual link with a thumbnail and all that good stuff.
Check the list before posting; if a scallywag has an entry that has been marked already, ye can nah submit it yourself. Dat treasure has been claimed and marked with an X.
RULES
- The entry cannot have been featured on the Frontpage.
- The entry cannot have won any Portal awards.
- The entry cannot have won a Jam or Contest (i.e. Pixel Day, Pico Day, etc.)
- The entry can have been a part of a Jam or Contest though.
- The entry must be rated E, T or M. No A Rated entries.
- The entry must be published anytime between January 1 and December 31 of 2024.
- You are allowed only one entry per Portal.
- Judges are prohibited from competing in the Treasure Hunt.

DEADLINE
The voyage will last from June 13th - June 21st.
Judging will last from June 22nd - June 29th.
PRIZES
The best item in each category will award $74 to the creator and $74 to the person who discovered it.

HUNTING TIPS
In the movie, game, art and audio hubs, note the "Range" dropdown, which includes a "Custom" category.
Select that option to specify a custom date range. Try browsing various date ranges in 2024, sorted by Score or Views, then hunt for items that fit the criteria! Make sure you aren't under the "Featured" header.
For an example, here are All Movies from 2024, sorted by Score. It's likely all the top items have been featured or won awards but if you scroll enough, you'll start to find stuff. Reducing this range to individual months or weeks will make for less scrolling to get to things.
