lol Jontron is only controversial to Twitter people who can't fathom the idea that people they consider bad can make objectively good art. Most people (even online at this point I'd argue) have wisened up about the separation of the art from the artist: it's why Sam Hyde has become so popular recently.

Yeah, Sam Hyde is someone who I wouldn’t be surprised if he had an NG account back in the day, he has impressive animations in some of his work and this is a total animation geek haven, he also happens to be a completely huge pathetic piece of shit loser and it kind of actually really sucks that at times he seems so good at what he does but it was easy for me to tune out years ago when his show got canceled because his work is also so full of gimmicks, clichés, and boring routines that he even seems to be so exhausted by it that it’s almost like his work has the muffled sound of him screaming for someone to save him from his fucking loser life from inside of the videos. What functional adult over the age of 19 keeps falling for that being prime material, as a consumer?
