Thank you everyone for submitting so far! I got back from a vacation so I'm catching up with everything right now. While I haven't said much on individual submissions, they're all really cool and it's been fun sharing them with Melo, Coast and other friends of the channel!


We're 10 days away from the deadline so I'm expecting submissions to really be coming in now. If you submitted via the thread, please note to also submit via email:


You can submit to mail@arcade.solar with your entry attached and the subject: RS Collab Entry. Include the name you want to be credited as. Please name your attached file as: Entry Name _ Your Name


All entries make it in, but we've been finding that NG compresses images on the thread and we want to make sure your artwork is as crisp and clear as possible :D

I've started working on the program in Godot 3. It seems like WebGL 1 is a bit better with compatibility, and all the multithreading features in 4 will just overcomplicate a simple project like this. I'll give updates as I work on the features in the thread.


Also wanted to just confirm that I am receiving all of your emails submissions perfectly well. I love seeing all the art and music you guys are doing, it's a real treat.

Here's my second audio submission!



This is based off of a frame in the Ocarina of Time review with some notes for songs Melo is working on:

I thought the bottom idea was cool so I stole it and made my own bossa nova track with real guitar (played badly) and a guitar-ish synth (played competently), some light FM stuff, and a piano solo with cool chords.

I wanted to have this colored, but in case I don't finish that before the deadline, here's the lineart version for now.


Also, is unclothed Chie too much for this? Wasn't sure how nude is qualitatively speaking nude for the purpose of this getting an M-rating. If it's too much I can always throw some clothes on her to let this pass.

Wow! We're 1 day to deadline! Since I forgot to specify the cut off time and since time zones exist, I'll be accepting any submissions up to whenever I wake up on Tuesday morning (so feel free to sneak it in while I sleep)

Just focusing on getting all the core features done. So far now, I have everything for the audio player and the art gallery, so the hard work is almost done. It's almost time now to actually make something that looks nice and presentable. I want the program looking nice to properly celebrate all of you. In the screenshot here, I have everything done for playing and pausing music, a progress bar you can skip around in, a volume bar, a loop toggle, and ability to move between songs. It is absolutely ghetto right now, but it's all working as it should. One thing I needed to include was an ability to ride the volume bar, so if you hold the mouse button down over the volume bar and move, it'll adjust the volume every frame. I'll try to give updates as much as I can this week!

my two original songs for the collab, so happy something like this is even being organized and im really pleased i could add anything! ps if melo reads this im the guy who pops into chat like once a year to say use furnace tracker (hero) and DITCH deflemask (zero), still looking forward to the FM vid if its still planned and i hope my corrscope recommendation proved helpful to its production in the end.

Good morning! Submissions are now closed! 


Please keep an eye on your Newgrounds messages and email this week as I'll be doing the final check over everyone's work to make sure things are A-OK. No message means you did well and everything is in order. If there's anything else you want to bring up or ask, feel free to message myself or send in an email. Either me or Melo will do our best to get back to you ASAP.


One of the last things to note, is that if you've added your work to the thread here, I'll be adding you as an artist/musician on the credits tab for the project (full credits will be listed within the project as well with ALL contributors) If for some reason you DO NOT want to be credited on the side tab, please just let me know and I'll exempt you. You will still be in the full credits within the project. If you submitted only by email and want to be in also, please let me know your NG username and I'll add you in.


The anniversary is on July 1st, so the final collab will be posted by then!

This morning I'm playing around making sure I can export and have everything work on the browser. The good news is that all the features seem to work bug-free with no problems. Images display, music is coming through great. The issue though is that when I go to preview, instead of filling up the entire box, it's only a little bit in the top left corner, and super small. I think because I allow the viewport to be resized. I'm going to troubleshoot how to fix this, I imagine it's pretty common, hopefully I have a solution by the end of the day. If any of you have ideas or experience with this, please let me know.

Fixed it up! Turns out I just had to change the canvas resize policy to "Project" and it's now the size it should be!

I also have all the artwork and songs in now. It's over 100mb in total, with over 50 pieces of artwork, and over 10 pieces of music. Completely floored by the response this project has had, I deeply appreciate all of you. I might do a little compression and resizing if needed just to keep the size of the project reasonable, but I'll save those things of optimizations for the end. For today I'm going to get all of the entries put into a nice data set, and start working on a couple more features for the art gallery.
