This is an Art collab to commemorate the 34th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. The final piece will be a collage featuring the various different versions of sonic, each drawn by a different Newgrounds user. All artist's finished pieces will be put onto a background image made by me, and a slideshow will be made featuring every individual piece made for the collab.
last year's collab for reference:
- YOU MUST BE A SCOUTED ARTIST (OR HAVE BEEN ONE AT SOME POINT) (pruned artists can join, although you will have to make me aware of the reason for your pruning beforehand.)
- The ability to create images with transparency, IF you make art traditionally and don't have access to photo editing software, than I can help with that. but Otherwise, no backgrounds please.
- Draw one of the different versions of sonic listed in the spreadsheet below (if a version that you want to draw isn't listed than feel free to tell me)
- Only one submission per user.
- Artwork must be made specifically for this collab ( nothing made before the announcement will be accepted ) and drawn by you, (no AI or character creation software). Other than those two, any medium is allowed.
- No backgrounds please, leave your submission transparent.
- Entries must be static images, no animations.
- NO PORN (or excessive gore) E-T only
- Any returning artists from last year's collab will have to pick a different character (this includes those who didn't finish their entry last year)
- Try to keep each version of sonic distinguishable from the others. Some designs are very similar so for those try to keep pretty close to the original design. However, robot duplicates, alternate versions, or costumes for sonic can be drawn in any style.
- Please state on this thread which version of sonic you want to draw beforehand to avoid any duplicate entries. Additionally you can check the spreadsheet below to see who's drawing who.
- Once your entry is done, upload it to the Art Portal with the tag "sonic 34th art collab" and post the link here before the deadline.
