Hellllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooo *coughs*
For last week's artwork, I wanted to draw one of my favorite character/enemy designs in all of gaming: THE ULTIMATE CHIMERA from Earthbound.
So, yeah, I really like how it turned out, and this time it's for real.
I realised that I enjoy analogous color schemes more than split complementary colour schemes , like Jollypop´s.
Analogous colours are just more harmonious *exhales*.
I actually like how the line weight turned out, and looking back, I realise how shitty the line weight on Jollypop is. Also, coloured line art is cool! :)
But for every positive, there's a negative. I really struggle when it comes to designing backgrounds. For example, if a character is standing in a park, then the background is going to be a park. I need to think about the composition so that it looks nice. But when it comes to simple backgrounds like the one in the Ultimate Chimera artwork, that's where I really struggle. I think coming up with these background took like 3 hours kek *copium*
So yeah, I really need to figure out how to create these kinds of backgrounds faster, because I really enjoy simple backgrounds.
So this week I want to do some more fan art.
I was thinking about:
Marx from Kirby Super Star,
Esau from The Binding of Isaac, or
Gengar from Pokémon.
So thats all folks
Have a great monkey monday
