Claire: She's joyous & optimistic to live life even in hardest of times, is a loud & confident girl with her decision-making skills and is a do-er more than a thinker as a result. (Commissioned art by @suqarbreadz)
Everything is only for a day, both that which remembers and that which is remembered.
My main OC ( the ones on the rightmost corner of these submissions) is Ricardo Aster, my alter ego.
I'm not good at describing people, especially OC's in sentences but, if I had to say about him, I'd say this:
"A child born from the chaos, raised by the commodity of the Asters, carefree, funny and lovable yet austere, strong and chaotic, with a heart of gold and a reign of light, he will drive off the forces of the Rogue Powers and be one with the Creator, thus bringing peace on Terra and bring love he wanted so much in his life towards everyone and everything in all existence."
Did I do good?
I'd rather live with the problems of yesterday than the problems of the future. - Ricardo Aster
Just living a life of a world crumbling away.
I don't really do OC stuff, but in story writing when creating a character, you actually give your character a small list of main descriptor-y words, that explain to someone else the character in short. This ranges from their behavior, physical form, mental form, and whatever the writer deems most relevant to the character; then you'd use these as base for your character's story.
not my persona but my main oc is
Pissed off crusader made of darkness... with a cannon
um.... yheah.... check out my art or whatever. who cares
a demi-human who has mental disorders, sentimentality problems, explosive personality. Pretend to be fine and 99% of the time it's a lie. He is incredibly intelligent, he learns very quickly... but his thoughts are his enemies. He always questions the universe and has absurd situations in mind where he questions existence. Yeah...that describes me and my main character.

I might make some more threads about the topic of self-inserts/online personas, but for now I’m going to zero in on one aspect I have realized is really important.
You see, I’m working on revamping my “Cass” persona (planning on returning to this thread with an attempt at synthesizing the ideas people gave me), and it’s been really daunting so far.
What I realized very recently was wrong with my persona rework is that there wasn’t really a strong concept of her identity to define her design. Therefore, to make a self-insert, you first need to figure out what exactly they are and make it succinct. Because of who I am, I also pay special attention to characters’ fashion sense, and try to define it in case I want to put them in more than one outfit.
Some of my self-insert examples, characters I made to express myself in different ways:
And a couple examples from friends and acquaintances:
You get the idea.
Compare that to the rework of Cass:
What exactly is she? A demon? Zombie/undead? Mercenary? There’s a bunch of details that hint at different ideas, but none of those are consistent throughout the entire design. I think the problem was that I was so emotionally attached to the idea of her “looking evil” that I didn’t have any idea of what she was beyond that.
While I’m working on creating something concrete to build from, I want you all to describe your own personas or self-inserts in a sentence or phrase. How do you present yourself to the internet, effectively?
i have this as one of my personas, i dont really know if it would count, but if i had to describe it with one word would be crunchy. =)
if you don't talk too much, you won't get into trouble. but if you talk too much, your trouble will be double!
Myla: A wood elf with a magic pencil and sketchbook who, despite her rose-tinted glasses worldview, introverted attitude, daydreaming habits, and naivete, genuinely means well and wants to understand and befriend people.

That’s awesome! How’d you get the idea to customize your character that way?
just thought it looks cool, that's all
Thepixelizer a lone wolf computer themed hero/artist, brave, funny, but no one truly understands him, he constantly questions himself, but puts the needs of others before his own.
Some tips for making characters. Characters are more than what their demeanor is, what species they are, or what they can do.
But what they're missing (their needs), their core values or morals, and their wants.
Just like real people characters often mistake their wants for their needs.
In a universe where Edvard Gammel and his sister had to immigrate to the US from Norway because of a military coup in the UK essentially installing a bunch of superpowered monsters into the government, he lives in suburban Wisconsin doomscrolling through the news on his phone for a good part of the day everyday, ranting about the worsening situation in Europe.

Cool robot teenager and cheeky weirdass creature lol-
Depressed rabbit with a staff that they are powerless without because it has lucid dream powers
Molly Turner is one of my firsts OC's That I've created.
She's a cursed girl whose eyes should not be exposed without her special mask. She is shy and very reserved because she fears severely hurting anyone who approaches her.
She also goes aimlessly wearing the necklace that restricts her curse which transforms her into a wild beast.
Glitch: An energetic, sentient toy robot with a thirst for adventure.
Gummi: A depressed, snarky alien creature who always seems to have an opinion about everything.

@M-kirbs’ Marie is a comfortably dressed dimensional traveler. Her outfits make it easy to see her upbeat personality at a glance, and the rounded shapes and pastel colors of her design are a perfect contrast with her spiky evil mirror counterpart, Mace (who I helped design! :3)
Yeah, you got my sona down to a T, along with her being pretty simple to draw
I know I've been told one time that my sona is kinda like the human version of Kirby, but Kirby's more of an aesthetical influence on top of the impersonaability power lol
