The concepts of my music come from all kinds of different places. I've made plenty of songs out of messing about with a sample or synth with no clear direction, and I've once made a song by exaggerating how I felt while I battled a cold. However, what makes me finish songs is attaching a theme to them. I'll try to get clear inspiration from somewhere, whether that is a series of reference tracks, a mood, a place, or even a whole story. For example, I made a liquid DnB song as a tribute to OPN's Replica, a french house song in which I invented my own old-school sample inspired by a Persian pop song, and a krushfunk song focused in achieving a stereotypical desert level vibe.

It doesn't happen reliably. I can't count on myself to finish every idea I have, but I can feel when an idea is great and I'll almost hyperfocus on it when inspiration strikes.

I think my ideas came from many many rhythm game (e.g. Arcaea, Maimai, Thapster (died thai game)) and game I played often (Geometry Dash, Minecraft) and also I love Vocaloid music!

The idea is like some fast, aesthetic, bittersweet and and unstable things like electronic music.

I’ll go first, because my inspiration is definitely more on the abstract side. I think well in terms of the abstract… each song of mine is basically a reflection of one moment where I was in a vivid emotional state. Everything I was seeing and feeling goes into the music as best I can convey it. And I’m also trying to find the melody in everyday places and things around me.

SO. What about you guys??

really anywhere, but mainly from a person who’s username starts with W, and ends with E

My process is to fire up Ableton, drop a Drum Rack and simple percussion, and tinker with a bass or pad sound. I usually end up with multiple takes of something before I move forward, and I’ve literally spent days or weeks on something that is 15-20 seconds long because it just wasn’t right. Once it hits though, I’m usually done with the track itself in a few hours to a couple days. Sometimes I end up turning one thing into multiple others and save them as a different project. Always have 20-30 ideas just sitting around for a session where I forgot what the hell they were.

EQ/Mastering I usually do by ear with pro-q3 by grouped elements.

Yeah, pretty basic. Occasionally I’ll be a little motivated and hit the pavement with rubber burning already, and in those cases, I usually pump out some interesting things.

Dreams. The things I see, hear, and experience day to day. Emotion.

Music use to be my voice when I was a selective mute as a young child. And it still remains as such today.

I usually make Friday Night Funkin' music, so it mostly depends on the character I'm writing a track for. Then I think about what I want it to sound like in my head and attempt to translate that into FL Studio.
