Last week Anonymous-Frog made some art gallery-viewer suggestions. The first note was that highlighted gallery items should auto-scroll to the middle, which was the intended behavior but was actually broken. @PsychoGoldfish fixed that while also adding page numbers and support for the mouse scroll wheel.

Here are some comics to try it on!

If you enjoy Boxcar City RUSH, please consider contributing to GENC's GoFundMe for medical bills.

Josh also cleared out some other Art Portal bugs this week, revolving around fringe cases of things that could go wrong.

As if that weren’t enough, Josh announced a Bzzzt Art Contest! We love hosting indie game art contests and it’s been a minute since the Gorgon Shield Art Contest hosted by @Graeme

I’d love to keep this going on a revolving cycle, maybe even getting as crazy as having an Indie Game Art Prompt each week. It makes for cool art in the Art Portal and helps promote game devs who need our support.

On that note, ProsciuttoMan has released a free Croak Crusader Demo on Steam, check it out!

Halloween Spooktacular

Five days remain to participate in our Halloween Spooktacular. Expect some treats this week!

It was a happy surprise to see @LiLg and @D-Mac-Double return with a remake of the first Reincarnation game, just a week after the original series had been switched over to run in the browser via Ruffle thanks to some intro fixes by @olskoo!

I was also thrilled to see @Chaz turn up with TapTapBOOM, shortly after a lot of his classic games had switched over to Ruffle as well.

Takeover Tuesday

This week was our third Takeover Tuesday and each one has been a lot of fun, thank you everyone who has participated so far! People love discovering new stuff each week, so think about what forgotten gem you could share this Tuesday.

Good to hear. An art contest is good, but I miss the animation jams.

Awesome updates! Now I’m envisioning a system similar to the User of the Day box, where a weekly “indie” prompt with a tag associated is given, and the box continually shows some of the best of that tag that week…

😅😅😅

You know, I was certain that was bugged behavior, but for some reason I never thought, "Hey, you could, you know, make a report or something?"

@Anonymous-Frog, the hero we need, and the one we deserve, apparently. Thanks bro!

I’m wondering if Tuesday is the new day to avoid submitting new content since it’s taken up by supporter content.

I'll admit, I didn't notice that was busted until now.

That'd be cool as hell - the indies and hidden gems can always use some public support.

This is gut instinct, but it feels like Takeover Tuesday's convinced a lotta people to sign up for Supporter. Considering it lets people put whatever they want on the front page (at least for a few minutes), it probably has.

Overall, another top-notch update.

On the one hand, Takeover Tuesday does likely take a lot of attention away from new subs, for the reason you mentioned.

On the other hand, nothing's stopping you from posting something on Tuesday, then featuring it on Takeover Tuesday immediately after.

Thanks for the shoutout Tom! Much appreciated, as always!

The Croak Crusader team will hopefully be launching two smaller minigames for Halloween in the next few days actually, so I'm hoping more people will hop on board once we get those out! That hurricane really threw a wrench in things lol.

Self-plug because I’ve been told to have confidence:

I also have a Halloween dress up game jam. No judging or prizes, just an opportunity to make a simple game and have it featured in a video I make! If you think you can throw something together in 4 days (plus a probable grace period afterwards due to my irl schedule), feel free!

(Hell, from what it looks like, I think I’m going to be submitting my own entry in the grace period, heh.)

Someone please help me revive my clubs

Question: I'm seeing a lot of butt-ugly 3D porn on this site.

How do I block them out without also blocking out a. non-NSFW 3D art (ie. still want to use the A rating),

and b. 2D hentai, at the same time?

Response to Late-October News & Updates! 2024-10-27 21:09:24

I'll just post new content on Tuesday and then choose it as the item I want featured to lift it for a brief period above any else's stuff who didn't/can't pay for supporter status, easy peasy lemon speakeasy.
