I really enjoy seeing your work always and watching your style develop over time; I do think it's gotten to a point where it's very recognizable. I see the art thumbnails and I think "that's definitely Soustar," hah.

Maybe it's just me but your art gives me an oddly nostalgic vibe, like something you'd see on TV in Japan after school hours. Keep it up!

^ I agree with this!!

I've also noticed how much you have been finding your artstyle recently Star and it's been really cool to see!! I obviously see a lot of anime inspiration, but it's still very unique and recognizable despite that!! As someone who is still trying to find his artstyle atm it's definitely not easy at all, but it's definitely very cool when you do! ^w^

Thank you @VIATHINE and thank you @ChronoNG :)

I'm mainly inspired by Keiichi Arawi's style, the author of Nichijou, which is also my favorite manga, and started being published in 2007 :)

I really like his style :)

I mainly read comedy/ slice of life manga, so my style does reflect what I read too

I did a newspost explaining my inspiration in more detail, so my style is anime inspired indeed! (´◡`)

Honestly you've been doing a pretty good job for someone just starting out, I still have no idea where to start with that kind of thing lol.

Keep it up Star!! :3

I love how they turned out, especially Cracy. I can tell that you are gradually but steadily improving when it comes to colour composition^^ Keep it up, Star!

New art, new improvements!

I'm trying to have more confidence in the colors I choose and the whole drawing process (draft, composition, etc)

I still struggle a bit with shading and lightning, I need to learn more about values.

Hi guys

I'm testing a new way of drawing : i sketch first (in grey), making the space as big as possible, exaggerating the angles, ect. Then I shade the sketch (in grey again) with a bigger brush.

Then I draw the flat colors over the sketch, and then put gradient, to shade the flat colors where i put the sketch shading (using color theory), as seen on the guy's hair.

I don't know how it will turn out lol, but i feel it's an more efficient way to draw, plus I really need to draw with space in mind
