It's an interesting feature! A little invasive but I guess that's the point. Not sure how I feel about the list format, but I get why that was the direction you went.


I'm curious to see if it results in more people signing up for supporter just to showcase content.


Good work guys! On an unrelated note, any news on bringing back the custom content api? Last time I discussed it with you, I'd suggested making that a supporter only feature if possible (on the developer side, not the player side). If custom content made a return, do you think you'd go that route?

Damn, I was completely off the mark. I gotta say, this is pretty damn cool, though.

It is definitely taking up a crapload of screenspace, though - god damn.

No progress on that front but if we do get there, it would likely still be a Supporter feature to minimize abuse / expense.

...whoops. The only silver lining is that the misrated sub's probably getting its rating fixed in due time.

As an aside, I suspect adult content's gonna be subjected to the same restrictions on Takeover Tuesday as everything else - under-18s and unregistered users can't see it, and it'll not show up if you filter it out.

I'm a fan of this feature. It's a great opportunity to check out some vintage stuff that may have passed me by over the years. I'm personally more interested in unsung, obscure submissions, and I will nominate accordingly, and responsibly (although my first nomination isn't that old).


I wonder if more data can be presented in the box, like a submission date? I understand the intention is to get visitors to click through without prejudice, so author info might be counter-intuitive - plus some submissions will have multiple artists.

What I meant is that if you see mis-rated porn, you can flag it on the content page to make moderators aware of it. If you see something on Takeover Tuesday that should be flagged, using the existing flag tools on the content page should be enough to have someone look into it.

It will bump the item back to the top of the list and accumulate a list of names of people who have featured it. The latest name will show up first on the front page, then in the archive the names will be in the order of who suggested it first.

The update does not work correctly, for example, I try to select a movie category and the error “Page not found” appears, and when I click on the “See all” button I am taken to this page https://www.newgrounds.com/frontpage/takeover .But the idea itself of creating, I wouldn’t say a recommendation system, rather a magazine, is very good :3
