In terms of the monthly top 20, only ran into like 4-5 of those, we eventually changed the monthly voting to exclude A-rated stuff.

I thought you just left us on a string of "it'll be out soon" posts then never bring it up again. That's what they do with webcomics.

Probably won’t be another trailer until a release date is imminent.

Newgrounds has been using Ruffle to run Flash content in the browser ever since Flash was removed from browsers at the end of 2020.
This past month @olskoo and I combed through every Best of the Month post from May 2006 to May 2020, testing the top 20+ games each month for Ruffle compatibility. So fifteen years x 12 months x 20 (minimum) = more than 3,600 games eyeballed!
If you’re wondering why you saw some classic Flash games getting featured, that’s why.
The end result of this testing is a spreadsheet with 434 games that will need to be re-tested in the future. A lot of them just come down to performance, which will keep improving over time.
Testing started mid-2006 because that’s when AS3 was introduced and we already run Ruffle by default for every game released before then, due to how well AS2 is supported.
Dinnerbone has published a blog post highlighting ongoing progress with Ruffle!
Please consider sponsoring Ruffle if you’re a fan of Flash preservation and open source projects.
💰 Monthly Prize Update
With the addition of monthly awards for Art and Music, I’ve started poking around to find sponsors for the monthly awards. My ideal scenario is sponsors who are familiar faces with projects the community can support, such as games on Steam or channels on YouTube. I’m nervous to hit people up though because it feels like a big ask.
Here’s the progress so far!
Geometry Dash creator @RobTop has committed $500 per month to the Audio prizes, meaning 1st through 5th will each receive $100, with a bonus $100 for the top original song.
Cult of the Lamb creators @MassiveMonster have committed $200 per month to the Games prizes, meaning we’re adding 6th and 7th place tiers for games!
The goal is to get each category up to ten prize tiers, before expanding the prize values.
@XxanimalcanibalxX gave $100 towards the Best Art of September prize pool. Check out the FurryPeaceLand Discord!
@PuffballsUnited was already donating $100 per month so I’ll be plugging Among Us, too!
The Best Art of September prizes will include a $120 boost thanks to @NatTheLich, @53xy83457 and @River.
The Best Audio of September prizes will include a $100 boost thanks to @ZaneLittle.
The Best Games of September prizes will include a $50 boost thanks to @TeamTrivial.
If you have at least $100 per month to spend and a link to promote, message me to discuss!
🔮 What’s to Come
September has been quite the month, with the release of the Dreamcast Collab, our overhauled and expanded monthly voting, a big FNF update, hundreds of Flash games returning to the web, the ongoing Brazil Day Art Contest, Madness Day and now Madness Combat 12. It’s not even over yet, either!
October 1st will kick off our annual Halloween Spooktacular and we’ll be fundraising for prizes. If you’d like to help us launch with a proper prize pool, use the donation option on the Supporter page and PM me with a heads up you are donating to the Spooktacular. You can also specify if you’d like your money to go towards movies, games, art or music prizes.
With so many events and so many prizes, we really depend on your support to keep it all going! You can also help keep the lights on by simply becoming a Supporter for as little as $3 per month or $25 per year. If you need motivation, think about all the nasty campaign ads you aren’t seeing here!
Been really enjoying all the energy around NG, hope you’re enjoying it too!

Would October 1st be the best date to promote there?

I'm letting people know now because of collab #2, I am still prepping the starter image for the edit collaboration on Lospec
The video player version of this movie is desynced and needs a new render. It goes completely silent at one point.

nightmare cops banner looks awesome
september was a crazy ass month
Honestly, I'm glad that most of these flash games are coming back. There are some I've played with ruffle but could never beat it due to some glitches, so I am very happy for this announcement. A great message to come back to
