I've been saying this for years. The judges should be picked based on who has already viewed the most nominees. I get picked to vote every month despite not having viewed any of them.

It's certainly not random. My understanding is that it picks the top 2000 users who were active during the month. This is consistent with what I've observed. Since I'm in the top 2000 users overall, I get picked to be a judge any time I'm active. If I don't interact with the site, I don't get picked.

My wife maybe gets on once every other month, does not comment, does not rate, looks at a few fan art pictures or watches a video, then hops off and forgets about it for a month or so, because she's a squirrel, I on the other hand am on several times a month, usually rating or reviewing something at least once a month, and I've been selected twice in nearly 20 years, she's been selected 5 times in 2 years, your theory doesn't match up with what i've experienced

As for your wife, it sounds like she's one of the top 2000 users overall, which means she'd get selected any month she's active. The system counts you as active even if you visit for just one day during the month.
