Dragon hunters - One I never forgot as It had reruns on the portuguese kids channel "Panda" and because of the intro made by the Cure, which uses the same instrumental of the song Taking Off. Had a really distinct choice of worlds and designs (floating little planets, dragons all different from each other). The movie was kinda mid though.
Killerpollo - I don't know if this one counts but I'll talk about it anyway. I say it's obscure as I don't see anyone outside of the spanish speaking countries talking about it .It centers around a chicken (pollo) with a red eyes and a blue mohawk that kills people (killer). An amazing world of bad drawn characters, compressed mics, screaming and a fuck tone of copyrighted mexican music, it really is something to behold. From what I could gather from this video, this was one of the first sights of online presence of Central and South America on the Internet. At the time, people would go to an Internet Cafe vecause of free Internet, as this was from somewhere between 1998 and 2004, and share with each other using their Nokias, compressing even more the videos. It was popular to the point of giving exposure of ther underground bands. It was an inspiration to artists like @Dan-Dark, which you probably know from SMB: Las Estupideces de Mario II and in some way also inspired me.

That or maybe Wakkaville.
I’m pretty sure I had a VHS of one of the Ronald McDonald cartoons from a thrift store years ago.

Looks like one of those things I would see on YouTube as a kid and barely remember anything about it.

That sounds right. Iirc they were originally sold exclusively in McDonalds stores across America.
Gargoyles.
This show was sadly cancelled for dubious reasons. One of my friends is still mad that they dropped this serie in the dark and he keep reminding me that this show is an hidden gem.

It was? It's not anymore? Well, either way I don't have netflix or prime.
I remember this show called D-N-Ace that I watched for a while on Amazon because why not, I remember liking it a lot but my younger brother thinking it was bad, but I dunno.
There was also this kids anime called Jing-Ju Cats that I love the art style of that I watched for a bit, I watched a dub and I mean, it wasn't awful.
I watched DragomonZ because I heard of the toys and even owned some (though I couldn't play the mobile game sadly) and I watched all of the show that I could and I remembered liking it a lot for a little while.
Not the most unpopular thing but Canimals was really great, at least until they added the annoying life lessons at the end.
There's plenty of others I could mention but yeah
Gosh, this thread's sure going well! I might as well mention another obscure cartoon since I'm posting this: Roger Ramjet! Roger Ramjet first aired in 1965-69 and has a jay ward-esque style to it (like Arthur and the Square Knights) and features voice actor Gary Owens (Space Ghost, Powdered Toast Man, narrator for numerous cartoons). The animation's very limited but they've managed to make it funny, especially with the fight scenes. I'll probably make a cartoon in this style of animation.
Honorable Mentions:
BatFink (1966)
Wacky & Packy (1975, created by Filmation)
Barney Google & Snuffy Smith (1960s)
The Mighty Heroes (1966, created by Ralph Bakshi)
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a frog!
Today, I randomly stumbled upon this Estonian children's movie from 2000's called Lotte Goes South. It's a very lighthearted story about an anthro doggo girl going on some adventure-filled quest.
The protagonist Lotte is just insanely cute. The whole setting and art direction has a very nostalgic and sepia-toned yet quirky and lighthearted swagger to it. It's very old timey and vintage yet, at the end of the day, timeless. I found the film surprisingly enjoyable.
There was a sequel in 2006 called Lotte in Gadgetville but IMHO it's not very good.
@Tenebrare - pinging you just because you're Estonian xd
https://www.dailymotion.com/slackattack1 discovered this last month via toonrifictariq. slacker cats was one of the few adult toons ABC put out and cancelled in the 2000s and while i don't laugh like a hyena at everytime someone like drooper says something schizophrenic i do find the art (which was made by the same dude who did eight crazy nights) and early flash puppet animation very charming as shit. though if you don't find it entertaining the pilot exists
https://tubitv.com/tv-shows/600717/s01-e01-sticky-situation-cowlicked this was a show i remember watching as a kid and really enjoying but haven't finished binge watching. though i like fw the show heavy from the voice cast to the premise a con i'd like to point out is a a lot of the animation goes from really smooth as shit to htf fan animation. also i've seen people call it a spongebob ripoff but personally i don't really see it, plus there's some things that make it stand out

And the Square Knights of the Round Table, an Australian cartoon that aired in 1966. The art style really gives me Jay Ward and Total Television vibes, and it's opening intro's very bouncy and cartoony! How come this didn't air in the U.S!? So, what's the most obscure cartoon you know about? I would love to know!
On the subject of King Arthur...

breh this is hardly obscure ive seen fanart of the show emerge here and there the past few years
Knyaź Vladimir (2006)
A contemporary Russian animated feature film set in an old Czar Russia type scenario. For the most part it's pretty cheesy but it has its moments and the 2D animation is quite decent considering its non-Hollywood budget and resources.
I was on my random Todd Rundgren shit binge and I found out about this cartoon.
It looks like something I'd watch. Too bad it's mostly lost media.

Yeah. IMO it looks badass. But from what I've managed to research, only the opening sequence was animated, the actual show was a standard puppet/live action affair. :(
An entire cartoon in that style based on the same premise, with music by Rundgren is a "wet dream" of mine. xD

Hmm, interesting. I’ve looked this up and it said that it ran for only one season. Besides that, the puppets used on the show look nice (since this was made by Jim Henson Productions).

While searching Internet Archive, I've discovered that Jumanji got it's own animated series:

It can be consired obscure or not?

I remember getting a DVD of that show from Toys R Us a long time ago.

I maybe saw probably many obscure and same time not obscure cartoons on KidsCo
Sonic Underground (not obscure, but also fever dream)
Fairly Oddparents (not obscure)
Inspector Gadget (brown bricks)
Ned's Newt
Pelswick
Dinosquad
Rescue Heroes
Cyberchase (i'm suprised that one is still going and voice cast)
M.A.S.K. (don't confused with The Mask animated series green head one)
Max and Ruby
Beverly Hills Teens
Rolie Polie Olie
Sabrina the Animated Series
Rupert
Fat Dog Mendoza
The New Adventures of Ocean Girl
Heathcliff
The Wiggles (not cartoon and not obscure)
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
Barber
I will explain favorites one.
Pelswick is main self named protagonist, with wheelchair. So charming and cool stuff happening.
In fact the cartoon made by the guy on wheelchair who survive car accident John Callahan.
I glad that current time people now know even no matter how poorly drawn character he still better, than any AI arts/animation. Highly recommend
The Birdz (1998)
Fan fact that theme use us same us Peter Griffin sang that song: the Trashmen - Surfin' Bird
I remember when i saw that cartoon on Kindergarten (there many bad time and uncanny valley to watch tv)
I hyped at bit when i saw on KidsCo.
This year on autumn i have rewatched, some weird happend like Eddie (the main of the show) after first episode, now felt
love with teacher. The best one when Eddie wants be the director (like "content creator" before it's cool) and many reference of movies includes call to him "Steven Spielbird".
Us a kid and now the best character of the show is not a bird, but a bat named Sleepy.
Sad that cartoon is failed.
Fat Dog Mendoza
The first fact i know is based of comic.
The second is the voice actor of first sonic cartoon Dr. Robotnik: Long John Baldry
He behind of the voice Golden Volcano God
The weirdest cartoon i ever watched
My mom loves theme song of cartoon, but didin't like "wild west" cartoon in general.
The time i'm first time watched Lascars, not only movie one, but also shorts series.
Based of crude comedy of urban life of French.
Second season of Lascars shorts has peepee and ladies nipples. Surprisingly you can still watch on youtube.
Curretly I'm watching O'Grady
Each episode happend "weird event", but art style is charming.
That not all obscure cartoons i watched us kid.
I mention mostly that i watched on KidsCo.
Oof good times

I love Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats so much!
The fact that the animation was done by a Japanese studio gives it a delicious "vintage anime" look.

Yeah, with a touch of UPA. I wonder if this intro sequence had any Spumco personal to it!
I got one here. The Amazing Spiez!, a spin-off of Totally Spies! featuring a new crew of kid spies. I saw it on Cartoon Network when it first aired in 2010, and I also remember it getting sidelined to the “6 o’clock in the morning slot”. I thought the art style was pretty unique, with comic book styles outlines and such. Though, looking back on it, it hasn’t quite aged as well as other obscure cartoons. Luckily, every episode is available on YouTube if you’re curious. But I’d recommend watching Rebeltaxi’s review on it to get some perspective. Did you know Alyson Court played Megan, the pink girl?
Also, side note, my OC Nick Nanovich kinda resembles Marc, the blue boy. That character’s design is just burned into my memory for some reason, so I decided to make something out of it.

Amazing Spiez! I never thought I'd see someone mention that cartoon! It's fun. As much as I love Totally Spies, I think the spinoff does have its charm. IMO it's certainly more entertaining than Team Galaxy, from the same creators.
But yeah. Totally Spies is a classic, and it's one of those cartoons, that one would usually watch for anything but the plot. ;p Mostly very specific reasons. xD You know what I'm talking about

They did, around 2010 I believe. Half of the episodes didn’t even air in America. Didn’t even have a physical release either, so you couldn’t find them until recently.
