mr fulpington could we have a seperate sub tab for sketches in the art section of an artist's profile please
I'd like to post more sketches to my account but whenever I do, it clogs up my actually worked-on illustrations.

All jokes aside the new calendar looks great. I know it's been in the works for a while and I'm glad it's finally out there.
It also hit me that you could easily move the "Event Types" legend up to the top like I suggested:
This isn't accounting for mobile (which I'll admit I don't use), so its not a perfect solution.
Can we get my birthday on the calendar? Just cause I'm cool and special? ;)
Hey, it’s working better for mobile devices, it’s a good staff decision.

We ditched the grid-based calendar design in favor of one that gets to the point, with a list of dates and events, much like I’ve been including in my news posts in recent years.
Events should be easier to find and it works on mobile! We’re also now linking to it from the front page.
Additional enhancements: events are color-coded to specify which creator-type they are geared towards and we now have the option to include additional text. There are more fun ideas on our list but for now we wanted to get this change out there.
Ongoing Updates
The feed clean-up script has been running in the background for the past two weeks and just finished last night. This has been a big project to improve feed performance and reduce database storage and it’s almost all wrapped up.
@liljim has been working on a large number of back-end overhauls and clean-ups that will likely roll out in the next few weeks. As with most work this year, these changes will be invisible but let us know if bugs crop up.

The new calendar is so good!

With roughly one in twelve men having some kinda colourblindness, I'd say this was a pretty major oversight on your part.
Made a ticket for potentially swapping these with icons that better rep each portal. Might have to wait a week before that is looked into though.
Neato burrito! I’m so glad to finally see the calendar in a new style. Good job Team NG!
I'm gonna be honest. I don't know how to feel. On one hand I like how simple and to the point it is. But I also liked the grid based design. I think it should just be renamed to "upcoming events" because dates where there are no deadlines or events are just gone. But I do still like the new design! As much as I love the old design for the calendar, it was out of place and needed to be changed.

Nobody is inside, this was meant to be as a response to the meme.
Well I liked the old calender better, but each to their own.
Also would the past events would be listed in it, or only for the remaining current and the future events of NG?

The dropdown at the top lets you browse by month, at which point you can browse previous months.

Nevermind about the second comment, I can see the past events through the new calendar. It's all good right now! I like the layout of it (from using PC so far). It's alright (the long review will be for later).
OMG THANK YOU. I don't know why, but I always missed events/collabs with the old calendar. I felt silly when I missed things even though I could have sworn I looked at the old one a million times. This makes things a lot easier.

alr cool and stuff
I did really like being able to see the day of the week that certain events were on in the last calendar, but I'm digging the colors in the new one for telling which events are for what at a glance.
I've also really been feeling the overhauls to the back-end, or at least I got the placebo effect. I feel like my feed is loading a hell of a lot faster.
Maybe people will believe me now, when I tell them the calendar exists...!
Awesome! newrgounds always being the PEAKEST socialmedia ever.
