ALRIGHT EVERYONE! TODAY IS DECEMBER 5TH AND WE'VE OFFICIALLY HIT THE SOFT DEADLINE!!!

But don't worry! you still have one week left to make your submission happen or do whatever final fixes you need to do for your piece! If you need any more information on the requirements and whatever expectations you need, I'd like to refer you to the following posts:

Information on what will happen during this period.

The very first post.

Clarification on some rules.

REMEMBER THAT THE FINAL AND HARD DEADLINE FALLS ON DECEMBER 12TH. CONSIDER THE SOFT DEADLINE A REMINDER THAT NEXT WEEK IS REALLY IT AND NO MORE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DAY.

REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN AND I BELIEVE THAT YOU GUYS CAN PULL THROUGH WITH ALL THE HARD WORK WE DID TO PUT THIS TOGETHER!

I want to make an exception and tell you what I kept saying until recent but at the same time that wouldn't be fair to everyone else I was telling about why I said I wasn't going to keep reminding people about what was in the first post that started this thread a few posts ago once we hit today,

But I think I may have hinted too much already sorry everyone.

Because I love the idea of mixed media involved but there is one problem. Can someone else say it this time please?

I was really excited to find this collab before the deadline, so I immediately got to sketching, and for some reason a lil Homer doing Kid Goku’s run stuck out to me.

So it looks like when I try to upload the latest render it would appear that it's taking quite some time to upload.

Truthfully, I'm becoming a little concerned that the original size of what I envisioned the final image to be may have to end up being halved. With the sheer amount of submissions that I managed to cram into the last update I'm surprised it was able to upload. Thankfully, I still have some time to figure it out.

I'm going to try and leave the upload going overnight to see what happens but If worst comes to worst image size may have to be reduced by 50% for the final image. That's also considering that we still have at least three and a half days left before the 12th and more submissions will likely be coming in.

I'm not terribly stressed about it but it looks like I'm gonna have to problem solve either way, having checked the project this morning.

ALRIGHT GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!!!

So after doing a couple of tests I figured the best way the entire collab can be saved is if I end up putting it into a WEBp file and reduce the file size by 50% at the nearest neighbor in Krita.

There will be a few more tweaks I have to make but that can all be taken care of once I get all the submissions by the end of the 12th. By the way before anyone asks, I will be checking the time posts of the last couple of submissions on that day so if you don't get your submission in by 11:59PM on the 12th your submission will not be accepted!

We're almost there guys, 60 hours remain!

Weird question but there is a lot of people in this collab. What happened if there's a few people who have each other blocked?

I doubt much will happen in that case. You should still be able to be a part of the submission but you might not be able to rate the submission?

I kind of forget what happens in that situation but I think that may be a question for a Newgrounds moderator or Admin.

ALSO I WANT TO STATE FOR THE RECORD TO EVERYONE THAT IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE BLOCKED BY ANOTHER USER PARTICIPATING IN THIS COLLAB PLEASE DO NOT COME ASKING ME TO BOTHER THE OTHER USER TO UNBLOCK YOU. I AM NOT INVOLVED NOR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OF YOUR PETTY DISPUTES WITH OTHERS. I've had a user ask me this before a few months ago asking me to request that exact thing on their behalf, please don't be that person.

To chip in despite me wanting to join into the collab but not knowing exactly what I'm gonna do (and also stuff is in the way.), that's not really how blocking works.

When you block users, unless you manually edit them at newgrounds.com/account/blocked, a blocked user CAN rate the submission, but if they block your reviews, you cannot respond to any review on the submission even IF you were involved within the project. Of course, I don't expect people to just normalize unblocking reviews from people involved in the project because people have reasons to do so whether you like it or not (I personally don't because I view blocking as a mere last resort measure if anything.). It doesn't actively stop people from rating because if it did, people would block everybody they hate and abuse this as a way to fish compliments for stat. Though there are probably more than just that if it were the case...?

Thank you, to be honest I wasn't 100% sure how that worked so I do appreciate you explaining how that worked.
