5. Your art doesn’t have to be good, as long as your drawings are recognizable as Naruto characters then that’s all that matters.

6. Once you complete your drawing, notify me after you finish and share it with me.

7. Submit your drawings before the 14th of September, if all 72 volume drawings are sent before then I will end the collaboration and work on the collage of tribute drawings, if not then I will make a follow up update when the time comes.

8. Your ratings must be E or T, only use the T rating if the volume covers subject matter is a tad too violent, if it's tame enough use the E rating.

9. You must use backgrounds for your tribute drawing, no transparent background drawings will be accepted.

10.Your drawing must not include any logos of the sort, just the pain drawing, I will add the rest in the future.

11.No A.I, just pure drawings from a digital art program or a pen/pencil/paint traditional drawing.
Make sure you scan your traditional drawings too.

12. You are free to post your finished works wherever you want but please mention the collab while you’re at it.

13. Please add a little story of what Naruto means to you in the description of your newgrounds art post.

This year’s a special one, why?
Because it’s the 25th anniversary of Naruto!

Naruto premiered on the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in the year 1999 on the 21st of September, since then the series evolved to become one of the most impactful and beloved stories from the Shonen genre of Japanese comic books.

To celebrate the legacy of this amazing franchise, I have launched a collaboration in tribute to the series.

Q1: What is this collab about?

This collaboration is directly inspired by the
40th Anniversary “Dragon Ball Super Gallery”
where various artists from the Japanese comic industry take turns redrawing volume covers of the Dragon Ball book series.

This will work the same way, but instead of just professional industry artists it will be us fans.
Along with me, 72 different artists will pick a volume cover to reference and redraw in their own unique way.

Keep in mind that I want your art pieces to be reinterpretations of the original covers, not original drawings of Naruto that fit the volume covers context.

Q2: How can I participate?

To participate in this collab, all you have to do is message me in Newgrounds and ask which volume covers are available for you.

From there you will get on with doing your volume cover redraw at your own time.
Be sure to message me regarding your progress so I can plan ahead of time.

You can only draw one cover, you CANNOT draw more than one, if you do I will only pick one to be included in the collab.

Also if the cover redraw doesn't fit with my criteria I previously laid out, I will not include it.
You can get another shot if you didn't get it right the first time.

Plus, this goes without saying but anything vulgar/offensive ect will not be accepted in any capacity and you will not get another chance to participate.

My wishes are for everyone to finish their drawings by September 14th 2024, that way I will have a week to prepare a collage of everyone's redraws of the Naruto volume covers.
If that’s not possible, then I will set a new deadline, stay updated to find out when.

Also if you have second thoughts about joining this collab for any reason you have, you are more than welcome to bow out and your position will be open for someone else.

Q3: What are the rules?

In a nutshell the rules are as follows

1. Request to join by replying to the forum thread and then messaging me what available volume cover you wish to draw.

2. Make sure the redraw is faithful to the original, do not change it to be a completely different drawing that doesn’t represent the original cover, just give your own artistic expression on it.

3. Do NOT include any offensive/vulgar stuff or anything of that nature, if you do you will not take part at all!

4. Make sure your drawing is a PNG, if you make your drawing in a JPEG Format then if it looks good enough I can include it.
