IMO it's a fun little quirk that sets NG apart from other big art sites (amongst many others)

Because youβre still a user on their site and the rating system is for any user regardless of ownership. Simple as that.
The funny thing about that is pre- maybe 2015, Maybe a bit earlier, you could vote on everything once per day. Even if you had already voted on it. So the portal ended up with accounts where the submitter would have scripts (i hope, maybe they just no lifed it and bothered to vote every single day) to vote on their art 5/5 (at the time for The Art Portal) Nenes, every day and end up with hundreds or thousands of votes and their, waaaaay less than stellar, work would end up in βhighest voted of all timeβ first page.
What's everyone's favourite chocolate (if you even like chocolate)?
I love Lindt Chilli Dark chocolate, the chilli is only a subtle flavour but it really adds to it π and dark chocolate is better than everything else imo
Chillin' and grillin'

As long as it isn't dark chocolate I'm chowing it down
do you guys get really self conscious or embarrassed about sharing art on the internet?

Only if it's really bad art, like, even compared to what I usually put out. Once in a blue moon when I feel proud of something I've drawn I don't feel that way

I used to. I feel like all artists do when they're first starting out. Over time it naturally goes away though.

Nope not embarrassment.
Cause it pales in comparison to the days as a kid where I drew a bunch of shitty Gremlin comic doodles as a kid while at school. Memories of that make me cringe in agony.

Not a sweets guy but when I do I like anything non-dark with wafers or rice crispies π

Nah artbooks from parts unknown
So update with the drawing tablet, I got it , and itβs a Wacom 1, and Iβm having a problem with it. The screen on it would pop up but the pen wonβt register, Iβve been google searching, and using different drivers but no luck.
I like my chocolate so bitter that it's a punishment.

70% is my favorite, but I'll go as high as 85%. You may as well be chewing on coffee beans anywhere past 90

I want to say it depends on who makes it, but to most folks there really isn't a meaningful difference between brands of >90 cacao bricks.
Lots of upsides though: goes great in coffee, has health benefits that aren't immediately undone by sugar content, nobody asks for you to share, etc.

American chocolate is made using the same enzymes within barf that produces it's terrible smell.
I'm not kidding.
edit: remember this whenever you're about to purchase American Hershey chocolate

Eughhh, I already hated American chocolate, but this makes it so much worse π
American treats in general are gross as hell.
I had a Twinkie once, actually made me feel nauseous lmao.

any of you been enjoying any comics lately? i've been having a blast reading some of the content i missed when reading the sonic idw comics

I haven't read any comics recently per say. But I have been reading some literature such as The Aeneid, Dante's Divine Comedy (Inferno, Purgatory and Paradiso. HP Lovecraft seemed to base Azathoth off the part in Paradiso where the angels are swirling around God iirc singing.), Wuthering Heights, The Metamorphosis, Moby Dick, Cervantes Don Quixote, The Stranger, The Odyssey and lastly the collection of HP Lovecraft stories (The dreamland stories of his are particularly interesting.).
I'm planning on reading Demian after I finish reading through the Lovecraft collection.
