Okay this response infers that an "object show" isn't referring to shows that use symbol-based animation...cause that's the only context I know for that term in animation.

I love BFDI and II, ONE was pretty good, although it's ending was pretty lack luster, but I refuse to watch any other Object Shows, as they are either unfinished eternally, or something a 5 year old made.

I can understand why people make it, I don't get it why anyone would watch it though. It's kinda like fanfiction you know, being a fanfic reader is a step above being a fanfic writer, because you need to be like "yeah I guess I care about what garbage other people are doing."
I used to really be into them as a kid to early teen (to the point that my old username on NG was YoyleberryClock). I don't really watch as much nowaways, but occasionally I come across a random obsure object show or webcomic (yes, there are webcomics) and get nostalgic.
I'm just some crow, I don't know how I do the things I do.

They're basically all the same. A group of sentient inanimate objects do competitions and get voted off one by one. I think the only variety I've seen from them is the way the get punished, other than that, same shit different day

maybe sometimes some shows use the objects to their advantage, say a tennis ball being in a challenge where they gotta platform some crap and its like a cakewalk to the ball whilst a can would struggle a hell ton.
its interesting what they can do with the objects but they all tend to be the same.

I hardly ever watch them, but they're pretty bland in my book. Rarely do object shows change up the formula in some way to where it's interesting and new. Although, I do like the visuals and character designs in some of them, I really like to draw the algebralien characters.

I'm guessing your talking about BFDI, I tried getting into it, only problem was that I binged watched the whole thing in one night and then didn't remember anything. The voices also annoyed the shit out of me too. The only object show I have gotten into was ONE, at least I think that's what it was called- the one with the green backpack guy? That one, I remembered liking it! Didn't finish it though cause new episodes were coming out so-
I think some are okay. I sometimes prefer joke object shows like Greeny's Grand Game and some of Creepsington's because they're more entertaining.

They're okay I guess, the only ones I've ever fully watched are ONE and II mostly because they feel original. Most of the Object Shows that are competition based really just all feel like BFDI clones. Also personal opinion, TPOT fucking sucks. Honestly their community is one of the most toxic.

While this thread is bumped, I'll say that some object shows around this time (like ITFT, Animatic Battle and BURNER) are pretty good! You can do alot with a similar concept!
