I'm sorry, no, I don’t save them. I usually write the questions in WordPad, then I send them over in PM. After that, I go to the answered PM of the person I interviewed, copy and paste the questions into the news post, and format them there.

When I try to update my profile, it says "Sorry, you're too young to have a profile" despite my account being grandfathered into the new age requirements.

In case it helps, I've tried using Google Chrome on an Android Phone, Tablet, and Windows 11 PC

I was unwittingly able to raise the "Invalid Tags. Invalid Tags."-error message the other day but it happened when writing this forum post. (And then I forgot about making a report because life got in the way.)


Some things I remember:

- I typed the entire post out within the browser, but I copied a "nut dash" (" – ") from a word document.

- I took absolute ages to type out that post (certainly longer than 30 minutes). Time could have been a factor. (Do you remember if you took long for your News/Blog Post back then, @Aalasteir? Maybe a lot of after-editing or a fan/friend interrupting your process with a PM...?)


I worked around the issue by copy-pasting the text as is from the tab that produced the error message into another tab with the same forum thread. (No new posts had been made there in the meantime.) That time it went without any hiccups.


(I'll send you my browser details and the document in question via email.)

I very frequently click around browsers and switch tabs and I primarily write in WordPad. I use copy paste a lot.

Different browser same problem. I think it is safe to assume that that part of the site does not operate differently based on browser (AFAIK, that is all bits of php-code that is put together as html on the server's side).


Maybe it's a hidden feature for Wegra-Posts? ;3

Bug Report for Monthly Voting


When I open an artwork page from the page for choosing favorites then go back, entries are automatically selected. The system voted for me.


My manual selections are preserved, whether or not my list was at the 10-vote limit. However, art I dislike(*) is selected, too.


I know the workaround is to open each page for artwork in its own tab or window without leaving the voting page except through the submission button. The problem with that is when I accidentally click on an entry link when scrolling; I have to go back and deselected the unwanted votes


(* This makes me wonder how many auto votes are going through every month from people either not noticing this happens or giving up on deselecting fakes.)

We haven't applied blocking lists to the front paged content yet, partly for it being it's own project but also a performance hit, especially tag block lists, which requires pulling in the tags for every item on the front page. We'd also ideally pull in new content to replace what gets hidden, although we could just have blank spaces when things get hidden.


There wasn't a formal ticket for this so I've made one now.

I am having an issue with the whole website on my laptop, here's how it looks like

takes a very long time to load and doesnt go any further than that, the site works on mobile but now I have to use vpn in order for Newgrounds to load anything, I have no idea what's wrong, I am using the same connection, appear to be in the same country, if someone had a similar problem i'd be happy to listen and find out the solution to this, I cant live without newgrounds man :(

Is your ISP Rostelecom or Ufanet by any chance? I'm wondering if all of Russia is blocking some of NG's subdomains at the moment.

it is rostelecom, and the sudden blocking seems odd, but could be the problem, if it is the issue, I just find it weird that I still can access the site via mobile, but cant on my laptop, no matter if I use vpn or not

Similar issue to the last one, but this time it's when browsing new submissions (newgrounds.com/art/browse) in the Art Portal I still see my blocked tags.


This seems really strange, because when I look at the frontpaged art though the same browse page (newgrounds.com/art) my tags ARE blocked! Weird right?


I don't want to single out any users by posting screenshots of thier art, but if you need some screenshots I can PM you.

If it's happening inconsistently, this could be a case of the tags not making it into Elastic - a long-running bug that has been waiting on other overhauls to be put in place before it gets solved.

I am seeing a lot of double-posts in the comment sections for News Posts recently.


Usually I just accept that some people have the trigger-fingers of FPS-champions and click twice by accident before the button vanishes, but I've seen 5 double-comments in the last 2 days.

Hey, for some reason, a lot of images and sometimes certain icons aren’t displaying when using mobile data. They just show the file name .webp or .png with a broken image icon.

This happens on my phone and iPad (both using Safari), and my laptop when I connect it to personal hotspot (using Firefox or Chrome). Is there a fix for this?

Who is your mobile internet provider? Does your phone run any sort of VPN or extensions for blocking ads that could possibly be blocking some of our file hosting domains?

My mobile provider is EE.

No VPN, but I have an adblocker, which I tried turning off, but the issue persists.

I'm having an issue of not being able to unfollow a user who has blocked me.


I saw a blog post in my feed from a certain user. Went to their profile. There is no follow or unfollow button, and no message button. I can't favorite any of their portal submissions, and can't comment on anything they have posted. I assume this means they have blocked me. But their content is still appearing in my feed and I can't seem to find a way to unfollow them.


Checked my "Favorite People" on my profile and it seems they are not shown on that list. But their content is still in my feed. I considered the possibility that their content in my feed was posted before they blocked me, but that would mean they blocked me sometime in the past 20 minutes, and I haven't had any recent interaction with them whatsoever, so that seems unlikely to me

Another user tried scouting me, but the option isn't showing up on their end. As far as I know I am eligible to be scouted, and I've never been scouted before so my scouting couldn't have been revoked or anything like that. We're thinking that maybe this is a bug?

If that user is scouted themselves, I'd be wiling to bet that you were scouted once and got un-scouted. If that is indeed so, only a Moderator (of the respective Portal) would be able to scout you again.


I am not a Newgrounds Moderator myself, but from what I hear, they check un-scouted cases in regular intervals. When the quality of your work has become more on a par with the work of other scouted artists of the Portal in question, you will get scouted again. For now, focus on honing your skills.


[Edit:]

A little system message explaining as much would be a nice, though. It could replace the [Scout Them]-button. From how you describe the interface, most of the code for that is already in place. ;)

I suspect you were scouted a while back, unscouted after, and simply forgot about it. You should have gotten a DM from P-Bot welcoming you to the portal when you were scouted initially. Maybe it's still there in your inbox?

Anyone else getting weird notification issues? Like, I'll log in and I'll have one notification for a new follower or something, I'll mark that notification as read, and then tomorrow when I log in again suddenly I have 10 notifications but it's all notifications that I have already seen. I'm having the same issue with DMs, I keep getting new notifications for DM's that I've already read.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, nor if it even qualifies as a bug. But I figured I would suggest a better looping function for the audio portal player? I remember on my older days of Newgrounds the previous audio player having a far more seamless loop function than the one we have now. And as somebody who makes ALOT of video game music that is meant to loop, it would just be cool to have.


Example:

I edited this track to loop perfectly in my DAW before posting it here, but it seems to either have some dead space inserted into the audio post upload, or it is a situation where the loop just has far too much delay in the repeating of the track, which can take away from the intended emersion.
