I’m a pretty cheery guy and an avid artist with a pretty active imagination, a wicked sense of humour and I enjoy meeting new people and making connections. I enjoy playing games on the side, picked up reading again recently because goodness knows my eyes need the rest, got into working out and exercising last year and still doing it,

I’ve actually been here since last year but haven’t REALLY tried to be more integrated into the community until recently. I wanted to try being more active here and really build an audience and such for the stuff I make. It’s always felt kind of discouraging to really try to build traction for the stuff you make on social media nowadays since most of the time what you put out gets drowned by so many other voices and posts. I’ve heard Newgrounds has always been a place for people to have their humble beginnings/ big breaks, connect with others and a place to express yourself and your creativity and that sounded like my cup of tea and wanted to try giving it a shot.

It’s always been a goal of mine to turn what I love making into a living and so I’ve propelled myself into different art avenues. Having almost an experimental phase with doing stuff like portraits, illustrations, landscape, currently trying out pixel art and stuff but mainly I’ve been looking into becoming a Graphic Designer, either freelance or under a company. A slight pipe dream but I do want it to not stay that way by continuing to improve myself and put myself out there for opportunities to work with and for others. Other then that hopefully anything else I left out on this post, people get to find out by getting to know each other better. I hope to get the chance to really make progress on my goals here as well as making new friendships.

Welcome to the core community then. You got that right, it's the starting point for many artists who can trace their beginnings back here. I hope you succeed, and know I believe in you.

I'm just one of those people still on the path of getting themselves out there in the world. If you're confused by my mug below you haven't read my profile. I point you to it.

Howdy, I'm Skelleste and I draw a lot of cartoon nonsense. I'm no stranger to NG, because I've used it before but not for a long time. I'm working on a comic about an alcoholic monster that can never get a drink no matter how hard he tries, which is still in the works, but you can keep up with my art here in the meantime. I post much more frequently to my Tumblr, though. I like that this site is very friendly to unusual content and I look forward to exploring everyone's work.

Welcome back to NG. I'll definitely be tuning in.

Does the monster ever think of drinking Monster?

Thank you!

I don't doubt his ability to start a new addiction if he had access, but thankfully for him, it would not have been invented yet. I think the fact that he could have had the OG Coca-Cola recipe is a more concerning matter.

Thank you man, I appreciate it, I hope to become more active and share more of my work here, and meeting and making new friends as well.

Hi, I'm Faffy. I grew up with NG in the 2000s and only created an account in the late 2010s so I'm not exactly new, but I never really socialized with people on the forums or anyone else beyond reviews, and it was starting to get kinda lonely.

I studied game art in uni but never took art seriously enough to really create stuff in my free time besides some small stuff here and there, and some shitposts, but that's changing now that I have an ipad in my hands and an unexpected buttload amount of free time.

I dig videogames, cool animals, guns, beer, and medabots, all of which I want to start drawing.

It's nice to meet you fellow NGers.

And if we've met before - sorry lmao

It's nice to meet you too. No sorrow here, you sound fun.

Medabots was/is fun. So is Angelic Layer, if you've ever heard of it (is very similar).

Hi folks, I'm LRCoolMusic. I am working on learning music production and composition as a hobby. I'd like to post the things that I make along the way.

I branch out to try different genres and to try to push my limits so not everything I make will be high quality. But I do release basically everything as creative commons, so if there's a track you like and you want to use it for a project, you don't have to ask, you can do it. If there's something you like and want it looped or extended or broken up into subtracks just message me and I'll probably do it.

Outside of music, I'm pretty experienced with software. I do know webgl and emscripten in quite some detail so maybe that could result in some sort of interactives / game stuff eventually. I dunno. I have written some webgl 3d engine stuff before, mostly to make browser-hosted gamedev tools. If anyone wants to learn about a technology stack that lets you make one codebase that targets webgl, opengl on desktop, android, etc using open source stuff, feel free to DM. If there's interest I could make a tutorial or something...

Anyway, I guess that's it for the intro, nice to meet y'all and see y'all around!

Welcome, LRCoolMusic. There aren't a lot of specialty musicians in the art community, and we hope you enjoy your time. What you describe sounds exciting, and all that can be said to be very thoughtful. One may say I don't come off as dissimilar from that, as there are only base expectations with my work (e.g. to give credit in commentary when it comes up, to not make earnings from it or to channel whatever earnings are made so that it can stay a public good, etc.).

Huh, I gotta give that a watch then, I got that on DVD a long time ago, it should be around here somewhere.
