Hello! Well first of all I hope I'm posting in the right place, I saw another one of these threads in general and it appeared to be locked.

I came here from DA. I'm a fairly green digital artist with a (current) focus on increasing quality. My avatar is an example of my recent stuff. Now on DA I was doing like... extreme giant tiddy stuff. I took a quick look at the art posts before joining and I didn't really see any fetishy stuff, which is fine. I do not mind toning it down for a new audience. WAAAAAAY DOWN! DA is completely unusable site these days.

Anyways, if someone could give a quick rundown of the art community here and posting is all about I would greatly appreciate that!

Yes, this is the right place. Welcome to the BBS! Art isn't so different except for it being more critique-based, more digital-esque, at times more casual, as well as a larger diversity (regarding that, I'd be lying to deny some things are NSFW, it's just not catered to that). Some people use the main section while others use threads which expands the appreciable variety beyond "digital" (a reminder that archiving helps in some places/scenarios). It's also feels more like home, and I hope you feel at home too.

I created an account here about a year ago, but I'm still very noob here. I heard about Newgrounds a long time ago, back when I was playing flash games as a kid, but I stopped for a long time, and then I found out that the site is more alive than ever! In general, I really enjoy the vibe here, as well as the active community (even though I have few subscribers, they're all active, not like on Twitter or Instagram 🥺). 

I'm an artist myself, and I'm trying to promote my own comic book about informal teenagers of the noughties in the style of old-school Nickelodeon cartoons, but for a teenage-adult audience, kind of like if the writers of Danny Ghost were the creators of South Park! I'd be glad, if you check this out. I'd like to produce my own comic book someday, and would also like to try my hand at animation someday. 😅

I also have many other hobbies and activities besides painting:

• I can write music and I play several musical instruments (guitar, bass, drums, midi keyboard, DJ console), I did studio sound engineering for a while

• Made small video games with friends in Unity

• I know Japanese

• I've written books

• Now I do different kinds of design (print production, motion, graphic and web design)

Actually, I'd be glad to find friends, colleagues or just people to communicate with, but I'm not a native English speaker, so I can sometimes be unclear, but feel free to dm me or write smth in my comments...

Welcome, Chrono! I can attest this is one of the best places for that, due to the options people have and the audience. And you don't have to do threads if you don't want to, though there are some forms of art you can use them for that can't be done on the main site, such as photography.
