what do you guys think, Im getting a longboard really soon and Im on the fence between the landyachtz evo-black tree (third in the downhill collection) and surf camp by sector nine.
I know im not in the SFC, but Longboarding is my life... so :P
definately no contest between those boards, get the landy evo. Sec9's are really shitty quality, whereas Landy makes very nice sturdy well-made boards, If you've got enough cash spring for the Krazy Super Deluxe with the 184 grizzlies and the 97mill Flywheels.
trust me on this, sector nine is shit, sector nine is for posers or kids who just need a shitty board to get around campus, If thats all you need, go for the sec9... but if you want to bomb the living shit out of hills, evo all the way... I myself having owned two landy's and ridden several sector nines and landyachtz boards alike (incliding the evo) can assure you that landyachtz will always be the better choice.
however, if you want a pintail with a nice amount of flex, or just a nice board to cruise or carve with, don't get the evo, get the loaded Pintail ( www.loadedboards.com ) Loaded is an amazing company (I have a vanguard, and am getting a dervish sometime soon) the loaded pintail is a fun, flexy, carver which is always great to ride. another good choice from loaded is the vanguard, it is probably the greatest board I have ever ridden, its just all around fun, and you can set it up for all around riding...
so, in conclusion:
Vanguard > Landyachtz > Sector9
Vanguard > Pintail > Surf Camp
Evo > Sector9
Vanguard = Evo
if you get a vanguard, head over to abec11's site (they're a wheel company) www.Abec11.com and buy some flywheels, the bigger, the better... you might also want some nicer bearings too... put some 97 fly's on your vanguard and it will fly.
glad I could help...
