It's all a matter of taste - not every likes salt on their chips! I remember that reviewer in question is a master in recording live instruments so their feedback makes sense to me.

I know you will get feedback on a forum like this, but if I'm honest I don't share for feedback - I share because I like sharing it. It's like an interactive scrapbook!

Yeah that’s the point of the forum; I made it around a week ago now and it’s still alive and well, which after two days of nothing, I wasn’t expecting. Glad you’re enjoying it!

I tried scouting you, but it said you were banned. The song itself is unique and you probably deserve more attention for it, but I can tell this is only the beginning and look forward to seeing how you improve in the future, especially with regard to progression and variety.

Here, I like create melodies:

I did enjoy the melodies in there, but unfortunately I’m not a fan of just copy pasting a 2 minute song to make it 4 minutes and calling it “looped one time”. Probably would have been better to just make it a 2 minute loop but I digress. It works nice enough for a castle themed game and I do like the use of harpsichord (although it did get a little repetitive after a while).

It would have been significantly better if if didn’t constantly have wrong notes every 2 measures; then again, maybe that was the point. Maybe I’m supposed to accept the dissonance and take it as part of the larger whole, or maybe it was a mistake on your end. I can tell you do have a basic idea on how to create a melody and harmony, but there is a lot to improve here. A nice track nonetheless, assuming the dissonant notes were intentional.

My best song is this. Most of my music is decent but this one was pure luck and I think I lucked out

Shcafs

Not our most popular track this year, but I think it's my favourite. It was written during a lockdown and we all just bounced out ideas. Was one of those fun tracks that just wrote itself.

I can tell that this is a joke, as that’s probably your worst song by far. I actually liked the idea behind circular motion; it fits with your name really well and sounds quite unique. Also the bpm on that one is 69. As for “Shcafs” I’m not entirely sure what to make of it, but it’s not your magnum opus. In fact, nobody has a magnum opus because that implies they will never make anything better which is just false assuming they continue improving.

I’m not the type of person to really know anything about lyrics and lyrical production since I have yet to try it myself. I’ve just always preferred the pure art and freedom of interpretation of lyricless music over the more direct and upfront ideas presented in songs with lyrics. That’s not to say Isolated specifically can’t be interpreted in more than one way, I’m just talking in general.

Regardless, I’d say most the music I have heard does in fact have lyrics; it’s not like I just haven’t heard “good” lyrical music. Speaking of which, this is it. I am very impressed with everything, especially the background instruments are done really well. Going into the song I was kind of expecting something way above average and was not disappointed. Really well done bringing home the theme to a wide audience.

I'm surprised this song didn't gather as much attention

I made this earlier this year for my girlfriend. Some may argue whether this is my best track, but it holds a special place in my heart that I simply can't ignore.

This is one of my earlier songs from when I first joined Newgrounds (just haven't uploaded it until recently) but I still think it's my best one.

I'm always hesitant when someone asks me what my best song is. I'm quite a prolific artist so I have many songs which are dear to me. So I'm not going to say this is my best but I think it's up there with my best. This year I had like 6 front-paged tracks so I could have picked one of those, but idk I feel like this one is under-rated.

I can't really say what my best song is, music is so subjective in my opinion. Like one can view it objectively, but if it doesn't hit your emotions then what's the point? My catalog is too large to pick one, even my "best of" compilation is 55 tracks long, and that's the most I could narrow it down. I could put one song here, but not everyone will like it, and if I put a different song, mostly different people will like it. If you want to check out my work, visit my profile. This was the first song I ever got Front Page'd and the song that has the most views on my profile. I don't personally think it's my BEST, tho. I'm currently working on a collab with a friend on here that I think is my best song, tho. I''ve been working and re-working it for 6 years. I wrote it after my dad passed away, so I'm a little biased of course because it's so personal to me. But here's the song that I guess my fellow newgrounder's think is my best one :D
