I can't post what I've been working on recently, but here's a centaur I made for fun, I was making horse studies but ended up being inspired by the kirin mythical creatures, then this was born.
Initial gesture sketch:
Recent efforts, all from life (most of my sketching is from life)...
(the guy on the left was fat, loud & obnoxious)
...no point in trying to mix black with blue ink & expecting it to turn out well. I've learned that much in the last few weeks.

In my defense, the lighting was bad. "Inconsistent" is the word for it.
