I recently bought a iPad. And been spending a lot of time in practice mode doing studies. Trying to get my painting skills to the same level as my drawing. This is a random egirl. I am not totally sure what her name is I just punched "sexy woman" into a search engine 😳 these are two versions as I was more aiming to play with a color pallet and pleasing color selections. Over hyper rendering out the piece one is highly saturated the other is less saturated
Finally sat down and did some more Pandasona art, decided to go a bit more Riske this time.
Main post also includes a female alt!
Not sure if this counts but I attempted an imitation of the NG logo. Ignore the typo (..."writo?")
I made this lil picture of my avatar to celebrate my 50 followers :)

That's a major milestone! Congrats!
As for what I've done recently:
I think this piece will be the last time I'm gonna use a layer to fix something.

Thanks bruv!
I decided to take OC drawing requests. I'm half way through them all.
Ig I was being sensitive, but I got a goofy-ass pic out of it and that's all that matters
but tl:dr, lurked through megaman twitter, got uncomfortable/upset with how people infantilize Axl, wanted to draw him in some other context than "baby that can't think for himself". for some reason the first thing I thought of is give him a BFG

Well uhh...
I thought it was pretty funny
Time-lapse of me...playing around with Time-lapse in csp. Completely sfw. This is the only way I could up load it as I am sometimes a complete luddite when it comes to social media and couldn't figure out how to just up load it as a video here ?
One of my favorite artist is frank frasetta. It tried to lean into that inspiration a little more trying to give this a more painterly feel than a clean color feel. I am a little disappointed. I had intended him to be a black man. It kind of got lost in the painting.
did this a couple of days ago, i was practicing how to do heads and got carried away and ended up rendering it fully hEh
Land scape practice and speed paint after watching Hardy Fowler s tutorials on land scape painting. I am really happy with this one as it marks a mile stone. My first real legit painting! No lines were used at all to creat this.
See ship dynamics are making the rounds again...

Man, I wish I had the speed and tenacity to make such amazing quantity.
As for me, uhh. I found out DNF duel's reception is pretty mixed...
But anyway. I should not give up on this, My next goal is to be able to make accurate details. Maybe I should consider treating parts as separate entities. My mindset has always been "The whole painting" while painting. Ends up pretty detailed everywhere, but not that detailed and frustrating to work on. But if I just treat parts of it as separate pieces, disregarding the whole picture for a while since detailing the part means a significant amount of attention will go there, like the glove. Kinda like a detail hierarchy. To look at details is to not look at the whole picture, so I shouldn't mind the whole picture and mind what I am detailing at.

Oh, I really like the way you rendered the hair! The whole piece already looks fantastic. Painting has always been a bit of a mysterious territory for me, so it is very interesting to read about other artists' workflows.
As for me, recently I have been trying to force my way out of a dry spell by redrawing an old doodle of my demon OC (referenced on the right).
I haven't decided yet if I want to bother with cleaner lines, or simply throw some color on the sketch like I did with the old version and be done with it... Art slumps are the worst, lol. Best wishes to any of you who may be going through the same struggles, and most importantly, please do not forget to take care of yourself.
Love yourself and stay true in the face of all hardships and hard dicks

Let me share something. I don't use this method that much anymore since my workflow is not efficient with it anymore. If you already do it, that's good, I hope this actually helps other people.
The last time I did something with lineart, I unlearned making a lineart layer and going through the whole sketch again. What I did instead was clean up the sketch layer with an eraser. By doing that, it gave me an opportunity to "Feel" the form and spend less time feeling bad that my graphics tablet is just 2048 pressure levels. But then I started experimenting with layer masks, so I ended up sketching on the layer mask, that way I only need to toggle between the two colors like here:
Basically, a layer is filled in with a solid colour then a mask is added to hide the filled colour. You sketch on the mask. Approaching it with "Black=Transparent; White=Opaque" in mind.
This also gives you the ability to change the colour of the lines on the go by painting on the layer with the colour, without using the sloppier method of locking the alpha and painting over it again.
This gave me a pretty efficient method to sketch and turn it into lineart by cleaning it up afterwards. And by being able to change its colour, I was able to make it look like the lighting affects it too.
Btw, I finished it. Pose is kinda boring, but my next piece is supposed to be more dynamic and interesting in composition, fingers crossed.

Pinnacle of racial supremacy ideology. A Soapbox for people who are oppressed by the norms indeed.
