No.
My father just read a book called "The right thing", it's all in english, he said it is a very interesting book about the WWII so I read it too and I tell you it's a great book! You should read it!
BTW: my first flash is coming out soon!
I've found a few decent books recently in the form of non-Dune based novels by Frank Herbert. Whipping Star and The Dosadi Experiment are two of the best books I've read in recent memory. Another good Sci-fi author is Jack L. Chalker. For anyone interested in horror I would always recommend H.P. Lovecraft, if you can deal with his writing style.
I'm stumbling down the club & crew forums and I find exactly what I want. Has anyone read Ilium by Dan Simmons yet? If you don't have much prior literary knowledge and a decent vocabulary, you'll have some difficulty. It's an outstanding epic, some seven-hundred pages long. Anyway, I would like to become a member! I'm also reading Sex in History on the side, which traces the evolution of modern sexual behavior and the like.
I welcome both of you to the club. Ive never read any oof the books you;ve mentioned, but I sure would lik to read some more books by F.Herbert. Maybe once I'm finshed with the Dune novels I will look for them.
I'd like to join.
I just read some Michael Crichton.
He's so gory....he takes blood to a new level.
The book was "Prey" he wrote Jurrasic Park, the original which is less child friendly and more swear friendly than the film version,
