Today I had a Starbucks Hazelnut Double Shot today because it is hot and I didn't want my usual gas station hot coffee. I kind of want another one but I always want more coffee.
Today I had a half-vanilla cappuccino half-coffee with a dash of mocha creamer.
I had an espresso with half a scoop of chocolate whey... delicious
A year or two ago I could've called "coffee brewing" a full blown hobby of mine, but lately I've been trying to cut down on my caffeine dependence so I try my best to stick to just having a cup or two in the morning. Doesn't mean I got rid of my collection of coffee brewing vessels & accessories, though. My kitchen counter is still lined with: Baratza Virtuoso grinder, Aeropress, Bee House pour-over. Chemex, Stainless Steel French Press, Hario syphon brewer, & an Ibrik for when I feel like gettin my TURK on. I daily the Chemex & Bee House, used to be big on the Aeropress but mine has a less-than-perfect seal now and it's more hassle than it's worth at this point.
Beside from listing redundant brewing accessories & reporting "hi i tasted this", I mainly wanted to post here to pose this question: What is your favorite region for BEANZ?
I'm a big Central & South America guy, nothing beats the BODY of some Costa Rican beans that were roasted a few days ago. I can't knock those flowery fruity African beans, but when I have a choice between the two I'll usually go for the Americas.

My favorite coffee I have had in the past year is El Toro Espresso Blend by Stumptown. I am pretty sure from the title its South American. I don't like beans with stuff with"hints of citrus" or "notes of daffodil". Keep that shit out of my coffee.
Ugh...I didn't have coffee yesterday, and I was slowed down all day. Today, I got one. I am just waiting for it to cool down. The wait is torture. In high school, I never waited and I would just burn the crap out of my mouth. I am more patient now.

I just read somewhere that global warming will make more places that produce coffee. Glad to see the destruction of the environment, pay off in some way.
I think it depends on humidity too. You don't see coffee being made in Arizona.
I wonder how many gallons of water a large espresso takes to make...

uh oh
Every day I buy my coffee, its a different price. This isn't like some high class cafe, where the beans are fresh and prices fluctuate. This is a fucking gas station. And when I buy it I have never had my coffee yet, so I am not in the mood to argue.
And also, this gas station has no cigarettes, so if I want to enjoy a cigarette with my coffee, I am shit out of luck.

Those are so cool. They're opening one up near where i live in Connecticut. They seem like such mellow places to relax with a good coffee. All the reviews I've seen for them too have been nothing short of positive.

Lol that's part of it. The other part is it's nice to experience something different. Lot's of coffee shops out there seem to offer the same level of interest as a Starbucks would.

ah man i could really get into this hopefully this one stays more active. to put it simply i love coffee. i consume it everyday and im very particular about how i have it. i brew mine in a stainless steel percolator for better flavor and i generally grind my beans fresh. i love caffeine, it induces happiness for me. i struggled with addiction to heroin, methamphetamine, and alcohol for many years but im in recovery now 10 months strong! as it goes caffeine and nicotine are the only substances i can put in my body considered non-narcotic. i would even go as far as to say that caffeine helps fill that void that i used to try to fill with drugs. i like it that way though, as i stated before caffeine induces happiness for me and when brewed right just the flavor alone can be addicting lol. god i love coffee, its my lifeline these days.

lol sounds like you need a different gas station for your morning routine

Why don't you just make some coffee yourself at home? It costs a tiny fraction of what you pay at the gas station, plus you're not drinking gas station water.
I don't have a proper kitchen, and a coffee maker would take up too much space.
I've recently purchased a coffee maker (link). My pupils are yet to go back to an acceptable size.
I've taken to using Taylors of Harrogate in it and I think I've found my brand, especially the Hot Lava Java and After Dark blends, but there's many more left to try, leading me to think that I won't be sleeping any time soon.
I had a french vanilla capuchino yesterday, and enjoying the thinking and waking up benefits of coffee, gave some good contributions to a thread.
Had another one today as well, fully energized, and I am ready to go at it again. Almost nothing is better than Starbucks quality.

great job on dropping the drugs man, that stuff is garbage. caffeine and nicotine together are very good for increasing brain function, and if you use vaporizers you lose all the negative effects of cigarettes. just be careful around young kids, they can get into the juice (liquid nicotine) and od.
i find the best coffee is black coffee with salt (salt is the best ingredient for good coffee), but before you brew it you add a little bit (a pinch) of cinnamon in with the grounds. sometimes with milk so i dont have to wait for it to cool down hahaha

What are you talking about? You are not supposed to put salt in coffee. That's like adding coffee beans to salt-water, and I'm pretty sure you can't drink salt-water.
I drink coffee every morning. I take it strong with a lot of cream and no sugar. Sometimes if I am lazy or have no cream I'll just take it black. Today my coffee pot was being cleaned so I drank some instant coffee.

Do you always drink it hot?

Yes I start drinking it hot, but usually it gets cold if I don't have my insulated/thermal cup to keep it warm. I still finish the rest of it cold. Also rarely I will be so tired I'll just drink instant coffee without microwaving it.

No sugar at all?
I prefer to be overwhelmed by the sweetness of my coffee.
Nothing heats you like a hot coffee when you go outside, it gets colder, and you aren't dressed properly.
