In general, I have a reason that CG2008Music is cheater. Audio uploaded from and to is stolen from Vulturrent's (MJS1) accounts from Spotify and other platforms.

Here is also metadata from some of the audio from his account:

But you have no case. If you collabed on these songs, you would be credited on Spotify, or in the metadata. There would be no reason for you to rip the songs from Spotify. And I figure you would mention collabing with Vulturrent in the first place on your songs, if you in fact did!


Vulturrent removed some songs from his catalog as well. It makes sense that he would not want them back on NG.

This was posted in 2012 way before GD. I actually played this song before years then. I believe he took the sample off the original song and had himself sing over. I don't see any credit given. It has been featured in a movie submission and has 44 pages of comments. I think it's time to say goodbye to this song? I might also need to check his other songs just in case

"Oh wow...!" I'm sorry for going slightly off-topic, but this is too good to not share with the readers of this thread... (I promise this involves a relevant lesson as well.)


The other day I made fun of somebody's ego for creating 7 obviously fake "fan accounts"... But this guy absolutely takes the cake: 11(!) "fans" were created by the same person.


Who do those clowns think they are fooling? We are supposed to believe that:

- These users created an account on NG...

- Found that one no-name account in the vast ocean of submissions on NG...

- Showered it with praise - laser-focused on tools that new users aren't even aware of most of the time...

- And after being "absolutely hyped" about that one artists... They then bugger off - never to return to NG!


Zero shame...

I have another suggestion - these are the same GDshers who want to use this song in Geometry Dash. This song is quite popular among Russian speakers, so players from Russia are looking for this song on Newgrounds. Many years ago I used to subscribe to one person just because of one of his songs, even though there was only one song on his account. It seems to me that this is the most plausible option.

Help me get rid of AI audio on a creative website! Tell everyone about this guide!

I also am the sole subscriber to some accounts. Some of which even only have one single submission.

But I am also a human. And even if I still just had the default avatar, one glance at my profile would be enough to confirm my humanity. And that was true at any point of my existence on NG.

On the other hand, the only intend I'm picking up from those accounts is "I am a statistic. *beep-boop*" Or in other words: "Dem boys look like robots!"


For reference, this is what an "dude this song is so good i created an account just to say this"-account looks like:

And do you know how I know that it's not just @Tangerine with funny hat? Not only because I can tell the two apart or because I trust Tangerine's integrity. It's because I would not need any convincing that somebody would be able to find Tangerine's work "in the vast ocean of submissions on NG". Even if I thought his songs sucked - he is a scouted artist with 4 years on NG and close to 888 fans (which I hope he will celebrate when the time comes*). There is no doubt in my mind that somebody could find him and get around to writing him the equivalent of a kiss-sealed love letter. :)

But not 11 times over the course of the first 3 days of his accounts creation (2 of which on the first day) - and all over a stolen song.


It seems to me that this is the most plausible option.


Right now you are asking me to believe that one idiot-whisperer magically rose out of the masses of idiots** on GD (a brand of "gamer" who I have never seen display signs of communicating with each other) and then put in the time and energy to convince 11 different people to register, solely to push "their statistics". And then not one of those people (most likely teenage boys) uses their account for something else. Like looking at adult content... That sounds like one hell of a miracle on top of another miracle to me. ;)

On the other hand, the idea that one person would create 12 accounts in bunches of 3, 5, and 4 and then only does the minimum work with each of these accounts (including the first one) sounds quite likely to me.


I'm going with Occam's razor on this.

maybe it would be better if one of the moderators looked at the IP addresses from which these accounts were created? Then everything will immediately become clear, I think.

At best, those would be 3 to 4 different IPs. Because most modern setups I am aware of will not keep the same IP for longer than 24 hours. They could have used a VPN (like the one I am using right now). IPs have stopped being an effective means of telling people apart years ago.


And I think it was Audio-, Movie-, Game-, & Forum-Moderator Pingu who once said something along the lines of "Moderators are just spicy users". Only Mr. Fulp can look at IP addresses. "Probably" other members of staff as well. At the very least if they are allowed to walk over to (and use) "Tom's Holy Laptop"... :3


In my experience, Mr. Fulp does not seem to be concerned enough about these accounts to delete them and gives them the benefit of the doubt. Truth be told I made the post above in part to commemorate the moment I stop reporting those cases. ...Unless somebody were to be stupid enough to name their alts something like [MyNameHere]1, [MyNameHere]2, [MyNameHere]3, and [MyNameHere]4. ;p
