Sometimes thoughts are not
Where you want them to be, but
Bee bop yabba doo!
HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
Sometimes thoughts are not
Where you want them to be, but
Bee bop yabba doo!
Today is crazy!
So much work, I feel hazy.
Can't I be lazy?
Wound up like a spring,
I try to do everything...
Now I've lost my zing.
Can't go back to bed—
Too much pounding in my head.
But hey, I'm not dead.
*gulps water*
All that matters is
That you are alive and well!
Then again who can tell?
If we are really
Alive or just think we are
Alive though we aren't
Perhaps I compose
Haiku from beyond the grave...
Nah, that's just silly!
...or is it?
We're probably all,
Beyond some grave, are we not?
When the world is round
I think gravely but,
Why so serious! Life is
Meant to be enjoyed.
Filled with confusion
A hurricane in her mind
Maybe memories
*sips coke in hopes migraine goes away*

The torment in all,
It rises and falls, and tries
To break walls down but
Fight it with swords! And
Violence and gore and you'll see...
Peace is all we need
*sipping some Moroccan mint*
Standstill standing but
New waves are coming so I
Guess surf's up again
Lemon poppy seed
Blueberry banana nut
Apple cinnamon
Filled with chocolate
Or maybe a coffee cake
Muffins I would make
*sips sadly as she thinks of muffins*

Tired from the trip,
But happy that I've tread the
Sands of Malaga

Warmth of Malaga
Would be a welcome reprieve
From this great white hell.
Snow and ice, shredding
Winds, and frozen tornadoes...
I'm so over this!

May have predicted early
Spring, but rodents lie.
Besides, who puts stock

Snow returned here too,
Back to bleak and disturbing,
Views gray and sleet rid.
Withering grass, cold,
No colorful catwalks or
Shell riddled beaches.
People in the mood,
Of the landscapes they live by,
I'd rather fly high.
On some other plane.
Far away from rainy days.
Hail great: vacation.
Warmth and joy in bed
But a haiku I must write
Out of bed for tea
*sip*
I am joining the haiku train. Hopefully I will get better at it!
Warmth and joy is what
The daily haiku brings you!
Everyday hikes, too.
Join us for tea and
Stay for haiku! Or is it
The other way 'round?
Sadly, digital
Tea tastes like an electric
Current. Brew your own.
Or drink whatever
You have on hand! It's all good.
Just don't forget to...

i too, never got
how syllable counting worked
thank you cyberdev'l
tho now..,when writing,
haiku feels like broken Eng'
is it just me or .....
Lost in translation!
Since haiku is Japanese,
English can seem odd.
They can say more in
The Land of the Rising Sun
With less syllables.
The word "less" should technically be "fewer," but hey...haiku. What'cha gonna do?

I think it depends
On how you use it, how you
Break different lines
The pauses become
Moments of reflection, when
Used a certain way
It's an art form by
Pace and formulation, not
Just the words themselves
But yeah it's probably a bit different with the language it was made for.
Aching consuming
Shaking uncontrollably
Burning to the touch
